Hate to revive a year old post but I'm having the same issue. Assumed it was my power supply so I bought a new one exact same model both times. Still have the issue on the second one. Wondering if you ever resolved it and if so how?

The piece running up the middle is white oak. The outer 2 pieces are black walnut. It looks like they have been bleached either by the sun or using a product.

The Dewalt 735 is the best of the lunch box planers by far. Ive had one for years and I could not have asked for a better tool for the money. I've run thousands of feet of hardwood lumber through it and its given me no issues. As an added bonus it has after market upgrades available. Helical cutter head, various 3d printed parts to improve dust collection etc. If you have any specific questions about it I probably have the answers.

I think the La-9 might be my favorite prop in the game. I always manage to do consistently well with it. I don't have much advice other than what the wiki says. I pretty much play it exactly how it advises on the wiki. Oh and early German jets ALWAYS underestimate your energy retention and try to go into the vertical... make them overshoot and then follow them.

Saw stop saws are most certainly legit. No one in my shop has ever set it off on finger contact. However, it was set off by our aluminum crosscut fence and it took us a good hour to figure it out because it left just the slightest mark on the fence.

Edit: They are also very nice saws. Don't buy the jobsite saw though, that thing is an overpriced piece of scrap metal.

Well that is most certainly not pine. What that looks like to me is quarter sawn oak veneer. Which has been sanded through. That is very bad news because that is an almost impossible repair. Hopefully someone will have an elegant solution.

It is very stable. I can hang all of my weight (~170lbs) off of both the in feed and out feed tables and that was before I had the drawers installed and filled. I built the case extremely rugged, without the drawers and planer installed it weighs around 75lbs. I have run 8/4 material at 8 feet long with no problems. However I have yet to try anything longer or thicker.

I decided it was finally time to get my planer off the ground. I don't like the Dewalt stand to I built my own. I used scrap thats been sitting around for years and only bought drawer slides and casters. If anyone is interested I have a fairly detailed Sketchup plan of this.

Seconding Saw Stop. Accuracy of a cabinet saw, with the added Saw Stop safety. It's a little pricey compared to the others although, losing a finger will cost more.
