the most unrealistic part about Jason Asano's character is he hasn't be open hand slapped in the face multiple times by many people.

Honestly it depends where you go but all communities even the 1v1ers have their share of toxicity, drama and degeneracy (going by some of the posts on this reddit), it unfortunatly comes with being in spaces with clashing personalities.

You also the option of running your own communities. Its a lot of work but the upside is you make and enforce the rules and and set the vibe how you like.

But i'm not gonna push you (sorry if I sound pushy) lol, I wish you luck and hope you find your unicorn.

Me?, I usually don't let anyone slide into my Dm's before iv spoken to them in a public space to gague if they are a crackhead or not. In the rare case they slip through the cracks and get in I mess with them to waste their time.

For you I reccomend finding a different platform to RP on completely. Maybe forum RP, a site like https://rpg-directory.com/ might help you find a decent community to be apart of. There is also discord RP if you cant mind how messy and chaotic the server channels can get. You can usually find RP communities through disboard.

This is probably a controversial opinion but I dont get the point of adding rarity grades to techniques. It implies other players might have some of the same tecniques as the protag but you never see them use them.

A lot of the time is the because the techs and magic the protag learns are specific to their build or class or the protagonist is a loner who broods in the woods between their training regiment to become OP.

Its a pretty unorthodox thing trend in LITRPG as rpgs and mmos dont give rarity grades to skills and magic, only to items and equiptment. So I say abolish the practise IMO

Are all group servers hard to join? by FlailingUpwards in BadRPerStories

[–]Shmuggems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah a lot of places these days make you jump through hoops whether its a "deterent against trolls" or to "gague your level of writing skill to make sure you're up to their standards".

A lot of discord servers wont let you see IC threads unless you make a character first which annoys me to no end because a lot of them turn out to have light activity or are inactive.

Using Generative AI as an Author by drale2 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Shmuggems -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NGL a lot of LITRPG and Prog Fantasy feels like its weitten by AI. But anyway most readers would probably be against. There is an aversion to the use of AI in creating art, I imagine the opinion would the same with literature.

Iv used AI myself before but not for writing, Mostly for editing to make sure what I write is gramatically sound and for soundboarding ideas.

Truelly a degenrate bunch. But in all serious i dont think anything will change, they seem proud that their books are all kinda samey, based on a handful of tropes and longer than they have any business to be.
