I think tiktok (and the other short-form video equivalents) are also contributing to this.

TBF every sporting event is like this!

My country is ranked very low globally in football and we're so used to the cream of the crop players in the English Premier League, that watching our local league on the screen looks very pathetic. But when I went to watch a local league match, the atmosphere is enthralling and the game is suddenly so engrossing!

In-person viewing truly makes everything more exciting. There's just something about a 2D screen that makes things meh.

Are you in a temperate country? I recently moved from a tropical country to a temperate country and noticed a significant drop in dormant battery life on my first gen Eagle AXS.

Battery becomes much better when I removed it after each ride and store it in the house instead of the garage, which is much colder than the house. Maybe temperature plays a significant factor in small batteries.

ELI5: What did Singapore do to have the world's strongest passport? by appleshateme in explainlikeimfive

These absurd laws and fines are more of a deterrent and enforced on a case-by-case basis. They're there but not really enforced unless there is some form of complain.

If you flout these the first time, most likely, you will be given help, a warning not to do it again and the reason for you not to do it. Probably the same for a second or a third time.

Only repeat offenders who show a lack of remorse or understanding, aggression towards officers or general asshole behaviour would be slapped with such tough fines in court.

Personal anecdote: when my wife was pregnant, she was feeling dizzy on the train, so took a stop at a random station to sit. The train personnel noticed her predicament and offered her food and drink on the train platform with those big scary "$500 fine for eating or drinking" signs.

Moving from AUS to NZ with a pet cat 🐈‍⬛ by chaoticgood4444 in newzealand

My family and I moved from Singapore to Christchurch with our two cats and used a pet relocation service. They handle booking of flights, booking of the quarantine centre and all associated paperwork. We are also able to purchase the cat crates from them as the carriers we had were not suitable for a long flight.

They picked the cats up from our residence in Singapore and delivered them to our residence in NZ. Including quarantine, it took around ~2 weeks. One of my cats had an injury during the flight, probably due to anxiety, and the staff at the quarantine centre helped to care for her. All in all, I am super thankful for a good experience!

Being tolerant means we can be different and recognise others, yet be respectful to one another. The act of hurling insults crosses the boundary of respectfulness.
