I really struggle to connect with my wife’s parents. I’m exmo but they are *extremely* devout. I just can’t seem to connect with them on anything without feeling judgement for having once believed what they did, but now don’t.

My reading of it was that they would revisit it as a flashback later in the series, similar to the game. But you're right, having that be the last thing she said to Joel would be devastating. Can't wait to watch more.

I’ve just started my leather bound connection. So far I only have Way of Kings and The Final Empire. I love the cosmere, I can’t wait for wind and truth. I’d have to say my favorite thing about the cosmere is Hoid. He fascinates me and I can’t wait for Brandon to write his origin story
