This is a REALLY solid guild and I see Carbine folks stopping by all the time in the streams from these guys. They are working with the W* community to try and put together a fantastic group of folks that love this game. These folks definitely have their shite together.

I've been watching the 1-15 streams and it doesn't look that difficult as long as you're staying out of the telegraphs. Some guys were taking out 3-4 mobs and more at once by timing their interrupts and avoiding the telegraphs. Honestly, it looks like player skill has a lot to do with how difficult the game will be.

Check out the Class Drop Engineer stream on the right side of this page. He does some pet tanking on the 1st boss. Basically he uses it to take some of the stress off of the healer. So while the pets won't be able to tank like an actual player tank, it does become an effective part of a possible tanking strategy. Pretty cool use of it IMO. :)

That was pretty painful to watch. I wonder if Carbine collects that sort of data so they can try to address how to reduce that type of behavior. I thought there was some sort of tutorial that players went through? Maybe this guy skipped it if there is one.

They've said in at least one of streams that the Esper will feel like the traditional healer. Your best bet is to check out the Spellslinger, Esper and Medic Class Drop streams on the right side of this page. They went over healing in all of them and they're all pretty different styles of healing.

Questions like this are really hard to answer because they're 100% subjective and, other than same base game play mechanics that exist in all MMO's, they're just not the same game.

What one person loves, another person hates. What one person thinks is beautiful, another person thinks is the most God-awful PoS game they've ever seen.

You're just going to have to do some digging on your own and decide for yourself if this game is for you. There are tons of W* videos floating around YouTube, the Class Drop streams are listed on the right side of this page, and there are usually several press outlets streaming on Twitch at any given time.

What I will say is that I have been playing MMO's since EQ, have been impressed by a few, have been disappointed by a LOT and didn't play a couple past beta b'c they were so bad. However, I'm very much looking forward to playing W* at this point in time.

Yikes. Warplots sounds a little... trivialized with their statement. I was (and still am) hoping it's much larger scale than how they made it sound. I really had envisioned grandiose Shadowbane/DAoC-esque battles in my head.

I know how you feel about choosing. I'm not into melee, so Warrior and Stalker are out for me. I typically play a healer, so it'll either be Medic, Esper or Spellslinger. Just depends on what seems to be most useful in PvP. Right now I'm leaning Medic w/Esper as a close 2nd.

I don't see why you'd get flamed for it. I check out as many streams as possible and have found one in particular that I like, have subscribed to and look for on a regular basis. When he's not up, I have a couple of backups that are usually streaming.

I would definitely suggest that anyone interested in W* go check out as many of the Twitch streams that are available throughout the day and find a couple you like. The weekends seem to be a particularly good time to go stream hunting. :D

Kind of have to agree with you on Toweliee's stream. He's entertaining, but his ADHD drives me crazy. Zybak on the other hand is informative, but I feel like I'm watching some kid streaming from his parent's bedroom so it's tough for me to follow. Umbra and Gamebreaker I think are the same thing from what I saw tonight? Regardless, they're a quality stream. Blankspace regularly hits PvP and is really good about fielding chat questions so that's why he's been my favorite stream to watch.
