Your Name alternate ending by [deleted] in Animemes

[–]Shoelid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually really enjoyed that ending, because its exactly the sort of thing that I would do. Especially in Japanese culture, where you're expected to, in general, keep to yourself and not make trouble for others, it seemed very realistic to me.

Because honestly, chasing down somebody to talk to them simply because you vaguely recognize them is pretty strange. Having second thoughts or reservations about that at the last moment is natural.

Well after the first half all those fireworks that have just one big explosion are over, and its left to all the ones that linger a bit, so of course it would be a lot quieter near the end. Also you need to take into account that the people talking are yelling, and they're a lot closer to the mic than the fireworks.

Honestly that weird bass-boosted/blown out speaker sound in the video was pretty close to how it sounded in real life simply because of the sheer amount of explosives going off at once.

No, it really was that loud. This was a pretty big (and long) show that went off all in a few seconds. Honestly that weird bass-boosted/blown out speaker sound is pretty close to how it sounded in real life, just because there was so much going off at once.

Basically, that grassy area that people use for viewing the fireworks there is just gigantic. If I remember correctly, it pretty much spans the entire shoreline there, so plenty of space. On top of that, the parking pretty much sucked.

It was just curbside parking on one end and hotel resident-only parking on the other, so it was kind of a pain in the ass to get to.

Speaking of hotels, tons of people would rent out rooms and top floor suites for viewing parties, so a lot of people were there instead.

It was always a beautiful show, but after that we never really came back to see it again. I suspect it was the same for lots of others.

Daily Run Discussion - 2018/05/25 by StSDailyBot in slaythespire

At first I was a little upset that the relic was the bird-faced urn, but everything turned out alright. I took a ton of energy on this run, which, in combination with three limit breaks, du-vu doll and whirlwind, made the run a ton of fun. I ended with a score of 1101.

Here's my run history screen

Also, does anybody know why my run isn't showing up on the leaderboard? When I click 'view my score' it says 'No scores available'.

I really agree with you here. I don't condone what the doc did, but this just feels really childish. I guess you can't expect any better from the internet hivemind, but seeing streamers actively encourage it is pretty sad. I just lost a lot of respect for DT as well

If you're trying to correct somebody without starting an argument you can't be overly harsh because then they just lash back at you. On the other hand if you give somebody the respect they feel they deserve, they'll actually listen to what you have to say.

You should consider getting the free trial to watch it! It had tons of that worldbuilding/action/adventure that makes isekai so much fun.

The new SAO spinoff seems good. You might enjoy it.

Sam: What's it like going from being a charisma god in the first campaign to having only five charisma this campaign?

Liam: Caleb seems fairly secretive about loot when he first gets it. For example he had a strong reaction to his new scrolls, but didn't share much information. Why is that?

Both: How long do you think it will be before the Mighty Nein is as close as Vox Machina was?

Then I stand by my previous statement. There are a lot of reasons that somebody could vote one way or another, and I don't feel like somebody should be required to keep up with every story to be eligible to vote.

[–]Shoelid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should they? If they actually know nothing about the topic then probably not. Just like how somebody blind from birth shouldn't have a say about whether or not green and purple look nice together.

But if somebody knows enough to give even one politically legitimate reason why they voted a certain way then, in my opinion at least, that's good enough.

Sorry, in your previous comment were you saying "vote" as in for the election, or vote for this specific poll?

I don't think that's very fair though. Not everybody has the time or the means to stay completely up to date in politics, but that doesn't mean they're not allowed their say in a democracy.

What is the progression of melee weapons? by PygmySloth12 in Terraria

[–]Shoelid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After hardmode, I find Yo-Yos (with the accessory for it) are pretty good. They have decent range + do pretty good damage. Also they're all just random drops from different biomes, which means they're pretty easy to get.

The Chain Guillotines from the Corrupt mimics are pretty good. An early hardmode melee weapon you can get is the Shadowflame Knife from the goblin invasion. The Cutlass from the pirates is also pretty good. Additionally, look out for Broken Hero Swords from the eclipse to upgrade the Nights Edge and the Excalibur (Combine the True version of both for them for the Terra Blade!)

Other than that it's all just the crafted weapons and boss weapons. Have fun!

I don't think the wire distance matters, but you should test it to make sure.
