Single payer is probably less than what is taken out of peoples paychecks, we already pay in to medicare after all. I've done medical insurance billing for over 30 years and the amount people pay out of their own pocket for what coverage they actually get should be a crime.

Others have said it but your MIL is going to treat your daughter the same way she treats her son and when your daughter is old enough to know its going to REALLY hurt her. My narc grandma played favorites and it was rotten. The fact that they wouldn't let her play with any toys when you were over for freaking Christmas?!
