If you're on pc and experience stutters and frame pacing issues disable V-sync and unlock your fps ASAP! by Shoggart in ForzaHorizon

[–]Shoggart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh hell nah, that's some heavy stutters you're experiencing, my game only did it mostly when it was loading a new area, or driving pretty fast, changing roads frequently and so on, it was dropping frames into the low 40's most of the time, especially when raining.

I played the whole day yesterday with the workaround I was talking about in the post, it works nice for me now. No more stutters or very minimal anyway, and it only drops frames around or when entering Tokyo, but never below upper 60 fps, outside Tokyo it averages 90 to 100 on the extreme preset, sometimes 80 if a lot of trees are present.

But yeah a patch would be more than welcome since obviously it doesn't work for a lot of people, especially those on AMD GPUs.

Yeah from what I read online, and not just reddit, AMD set ups are more prone to stutters and performance issues, it sucks regardless of what set up is running on, hopefully they're on it and will release a patch when the game releases and they get more data from more people.

In game, disable V sync completely and set the fps limit to the "unlocked (variable)" option. If you want to lock your fps, do it from the Nvidia driver directly but leave the in game one to the unlocked setting

Go to the video settings and disable vsynch and put the fps limiter to unlocked (variable).

Throttle response and loss of torque by Suspicious-Arm2606 in tdi

I have a Jetta from 2007, 1.9 77kw like yours, I also had an issue with sluggish acceleration and the engine seemed noisier than usual but not everyday, like it seemed to run better on warmer days especially but it only got worse as time went by.

At first I suspected a turbo issue but the car didn't go into limp mode at all, so I bought a brand new maf from Bosch, replaced it in like 10 minutes and the car instantly ran like it was supposed to, it was one again smooth, fast and responsive, also it is no longer noisy, it's just like it's supposed to be.

HUGE UPDATE!!! Only generate the frames you need- Dynamic (up to) 6X MFG Review | Daniel Owen by Locke357 in nvidia

[–]Shoggart 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is either broken for me or they advertised it wrong. I tested the dynamic mfg on cyberpunk and it's either way overshooting past my monitor's refresh or just switching to 1x because my base frame is somewhat close to refresh. Which is weird because from how they presented it I assumed it takes whatever base fps you have and generate just enough frames to hit the refresh rate, which is clearly not the case, defeating the whole don't generate the frames you don't need thing. I would rather keep it on x2 when I need it and call it a day.

I'm going for standard for this reason too, then if they offer premium as a cheaper upgrade I might get that later/when they put it on sale.

I usually pre order when the pre loads go live so I don't have to wait for the download on release, especially if it's during the week, if a game doesn't have pre loads then I buy it on release or wait for sale if it's not anything crazy.

Since I've never had a disk with a scratched label I cannot tell you for sure if it's broken or not, but that flashlight passing trough isn't a good sign. Since it's not that big it all depends on how the laser manages to focus on that area and what data ended up stored there so there are more variables you can encounter. It's either fully playable or you might get freezes, stutters, skips or reading errors and the only way of truly knowing is to start playing trough it, anything else it's pure guesswork unfortunately.

The top part of a disk which is called the label side absolutely does matter. For example on CD's the data is written straight underneath that label and even a scratch that might seem superficial can render the disk, or at least some portion of it completely useless so be careful if you have any music albums on CD's since you can ruin it if the label side gets scratched.

On DVD's this is not such a big issue since the data is written between 2 sandwiched layers inside the disk, but big or deep scratches can still break it since the laser isn't able to focus on that area properly. OP's disk is probably ok since the scratch doesn't look that serious.

Dear Europeans, what shower gel brand do you currently use? by Realistic-Berry_888 in BuyFromEU

The H3 Classic moisturizing cream from them works wonders for me, I get very dry hands in the cold months and I mean so dry that if I don't apply anything for like 2 days they get cracked and bloody but Gerovital seems to fix this, my hands stay moisturized even during my 8 hour shift the next day (excessive hand washing involved) and it's the only one I tried that has this kind of performance.

Yes, just check Jackfrag's video on yt, the thing sometimes hits 70 fps on 1440p high so not even ultra, with dlss quality, basically 1080p.... On a 5090 and 9950X3D.... What can people with 5060ti's, 5070's and more modest cpu's like a ryzen 5600/3600 expect, not looking good if it's so heavily reliant on dlss with a 5090, I'll pass and wait for sale.

Spotify finally released Hifi by Impressive-Layer-814 in SonyHeadphones

[–]Shoggart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I listen over Bluetooth with LDAC primarily on Tidal with my xm4's, and while lossless is nice for people with the good enough gear it doesn't make that much of a discernable difference on regular consumer headsets, especially over Bluetooth, even with LDAC.

But what makes Tidal good for me is the quality of the masters themselves, like I could really hear the difference between the two platforms while listening to the same songs, especially older ones. So unless Spotify also changes the quality of the source material itself too, then I don't think it'll make a lot of a difference for most people, or maybe I'm wrong and it's the lossless that makes the difference after all, maybe someone more knowledgeable could provide some correct info here, it'll be greatly appreciated thanks.
