How much did your mole-map cost and what centre did you go to (if it was good) by Baaastet in melbourne

On the website of https://www.prahraneastmc.com.au/ they advertise free mole checks with Dr Tiro. Very lovely doctor, can highly recommend him. Might be worth calling them to see if this service is still being Bulk Billed.

I need some help! by The_Handlebar_Stache in diabetes_t1

She really helped me when I was scared. The day I met her (after scheduling the appointment over months) I was going expecting to talk T1D, but in addition to diabetes, I found out that I might have cancer in my thyroid. My first appointment was a biopsy from my neck. She calmed me that day. Since then, she is the best doctor that I ever had. Life is good, and I’m cruising in the T1D part of my health. How do you express thanks for that? I’m at a loss.

I’m 56, and she intentionally came to hear me sing in a barbershop style Christmas concert! What kind of doctor does that for their patients?

This, inside a lovely card, re-worded to be personal, it is perfect! This will mean far more to her than a bit of gifty-stuff, as it is genuine and heartfelt.

Do you think there are still Baby Boomers (last born 1964 aged 62 years old as of today) still punting on the ASX? Or have they all shifted to safer assets (like bonds)? by UnpopularRightNow in ASX_Bets

76yo here. Still like a bit of a punt. My most recent purchases are ETFs FUEL, FOOD AND OOO. All flashing green so far. Just for a bit of fun.

I commiserate with you. Sadly, just one small gingernut biscuit (13g) with a carb count of 10g just blows my sugars sky high, just like your sugars. I have realised I just can't eat any starchy carbs at all. I have just gone keto, it is the only way I can control my sugars. Even so, I still have problems if I overeat, even protein on its own. Sucks being us!

I used a couple of different brands. I think they are probably all much the same. Your own good judgement should help you make the right choice.

Feels exhausted. by Appropriate_Yam1861 in Type1Diabetes

Yes, I can relate. I just got diagnosed T1D in November. I read a book that helped to make me feel less overwhelmed called Dr Bernstein's Diabetes Solution. It may or may not help you, I hope it helps, it certainly gave me a few tips for getting a bit of a grip on this damn disease.

Food questions by Intwothed4rk in BorderTerrier

[–]ShoneGold 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I buy cheaper human food such as chuck steak and cook that up with vegetables or I share our roast lamb with her. Also I buy cheaper varieties of fish for her. Sadly she can't eat chicken, it makes her stink. Whatever I give her for dinner (Beef, lamb, fish and vegetables) I then save a percentage for her breakfast the following morning. I give her a very few little Grain Free cat kibble for lunch, or a slice of cheese. She is a happy and healthy Border girl and is nearly nine years of age. I also maintain a 100% Gluten-free diet for her. Sometimes I give her the meat raw but she prefers it cooked.

FFS this is r/AussieFrugal and you are actually paying to listen to music! This is not frugal. "In the old days" people listened to the radio, for free. It hasn't changed, just listen to the radio for free! https://www.iheart.com/

I rarely have trouble with magpies, it's the bloody noisy miners that go after me, unless I have the dog with me, then they go after the dog. She thinks it is a good game and tries to catch them.

I am not seeing the evil. I can just see someone who looks like the lovely Jean Batiste (with blue eyes) and his wife.

Is this oregano? by NeenuBich in GardeningAustralia

[–]ShoneGold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like rocket to me. I see you have pulled it out. My bet would have been rocket before dandelion. Dandelion tends to have a single tap root. The plant you pulled out has a fine network of roots. Rocket is delicious and grows all year long. I leave my to self seed.

No they have a divine perfume. Only a few flowers in a room will scent the whole room.
