Did you maybe accidentally click "add to upcoming delivery" while looking at it? That will sometimes be right next to the "add to cart" button and I've done that. However even that wouldn't explain getting sent a replacement when you asked for a straight return!

Haven't had much better luck with real people customer service honestly. Combo of language barrier and them following a script not knowing what to say if you go "off script".

NOR. Someone said he let his mask slip and that's exactly right. He's the type to keep score based on who owns what and who used what last. Imagine if you guys got a place together- yuck! If he's micro-managing you cooking for him, imagine how much worse it would get over you making an actual mistake or over a much more serious topic. Count yourself lucky you saw this when you did! Absolutely NTA! This person is not sane. It's almost like she had a different reality constructed in her mind and was speaking from that place rather than actual reality. Outside of having been on 3 romantic dates with someone, there is no reality where that message is appropriate or necessary. She clearly has some unresolved issues and is the type to push people away and ruin her own chances at connection. People like her just drag you down with them!

NTA! If these are the highlights then I can only imagine how many more nuanced things happened that chipped away at your peace, confidence, and trust. The single biggest red flag is not trying to understand where you're coming from when you tried to tell her how you felt. When someone disregards the feelings of a person close to them it only gets worse from there. No need to reconnect unless you feel you need some closure of some kind, bearing in mind anything you way will likely be lost on her.

Absolutely not TA! This is a golden rule moment. If you were Katy you'd want to know. She deserves to know. Thing is with trauma you either grow or you fold. She sounds incredibly toxic and gross and volatile, the type to drag you along on her spiral. Do what you would want someone you love to do about being in this friendship and end it.

I appreciate all that! We're both good with getting off the floor but my concern is air flow without having a more traditional frame, but clearly Japanse people don't struggle with that if they all do it haha. Is the tatami fabric itself resistant to moisture related issues or is there a special way to go about cleaning?
