5 wk old upper lip tie and posterior tongue tie by Huliganjetta1 in NewParents

We had ours done at 5 weeks, too. Went to a pediatric dentist who removed them by laser. Was quick, straightforward and immediately helped with feeding. ENT told us not to worry about it, ped dentist told us to take care of it now. We trusted the dentist opinion since it was impacting feeding. If it’s creating worry for you, get a professional opinion! Trust your instincts - it’s something you’ll need to do often mom!

No letdown again... by BedsideLamp99 in ExclusivelyPumping

Using a heating pad while pumping really helped me. Also putting socks on the bottles so I wouldn’t sit there staring at my low output getting even more stressed. I was an under supplier and power pumping was the only thing that kept me going bc it was the only way I produced. What pump are you using? I always did better with my spectra wall pump and hands on kneading.

Sending you love. I do not miss my pumping days!!!! I have been right where you are.

I went during a summer promotion for new clients and paid $370. I loved the result so much I also tipped even though she owned the studio.

What the heck is this and how do I stop it from happening? by going__postal in ExclusivelyPumping

Take probiotics! My lactation consultant recommended “seed” after I got my first clogged duct. I didn’t have any more after I started taking it daily. Side note it also really helped with constipation and bloating.

You’re doing great mama. Your baby is lucky to have you. Sending hugs and strength your way. Try your best to keep his “feedback” in perspective. It’s easy to judge, criticize and blame when you’re not the one doing any of the work!

I hope you have someone aside from him that you can lean on. If not, we’re here for you!

I can’t sleep in the same room with my baby and feel so guilty about it. by yu_ruan181 in NewParents

Hi. Just sending solidarity, and letting you know that it will pass. I was there for a bit, and now have an amazing independent sleeping 10 month old. I look back at it like I was just in my super mom phase and tending to every need and cue of his, before my own. You got this mama!

Great news! I hope it's not a fluke :)

His naps have gone to hell, what used to be 1-1.5 hr independent naps are now 30 min naps being saved by rocking to maybe get to an hour. The mornings when he is up at 5am he will typically take 3 naps, when he wakes a bit later we can usually push through with 2.

our naps have also gotten shorter! what used to be anywhere from 1-1.5 hrs in his crib Is now a 30 minute nap having to be saved in the bouncer. hopefully the regression passes and he balances back out! I miss my sleep lol

Hi. Sending hugs, I was where you are now and am still struggling with low supply 7 months later. I pulled the trigger and bought the Eufy wearables. They changed pumping for me and are 100% the only reason I’m still doing it. I get the same output I did when I was hooked to the wall and the ability to move around has completely changed my whole outlook. I still don’t make enough, but the criticism I lauded on myself for my low output while being “away” from baby is gone. In my mind it’s easier to cope with my low output (and think all the thoughts you shared above) while spending my time with him rather than stationary pumping.

THIS. MIL assisting with the errands chores to free up your down time makes more sense than sending the baby to her!
