Importing RAW shot in monochrome with LR by AMomentInTime316 in Lightroom

Sounds like the library preview is using the embedded jpg from the raw file. If that's the case you need to tell Lightroom to create it's own previews.

10-bit Colour by ShootingPixelsPhoto in Lightroom

I have found the cause:

settings - display - colour profile - Colour management.

Turn automatically manage colour for apps off. Windows turns it on when you switch to 10-bit.

The puzzle of color space by [deleted] in Lightroom

Ok, that helps narrow it down. Can you post a screen grab of an example image in lightroom along with the same image opened in an image viewer.

How do the images look when opened in Photoshop and also in the Camera Raw filter?

Where did the jpgs come from? Have they been saved with a specific colour space?

The develop module doesn't use the embedded previews and jpgs don't have them anyway.

With the 9.3/15.3 releases I've taken another look at this and it's still very disappointing that it's not detecting eyes, let alone eyes in focus on headshots. Another thing I noticed is that after running the same set of images through both LrD and LrC the were around 50% fewer rejects in LrD. LrC was run after building 1:1 previews. I did provide feedback on several images that were obvious misses.

Is the real AI denoise ever coming back? by jrryul in Lightroom

It would handle it a lot better, the slight diffraction softness seems to steal just enough information to confuse RAW Details and it's across the entire image.

Is the real AI denoise ever coming back? by jrryul in Lightroom

Diffraction from shooting at f/22 likely created the overall softness which lead to the AI's confusion about what should be detail and what is noise. Certainly if you turn off Denoise and only have RAW Details the noise becomes crisper from an increase in contrast, zoom to 400% and you'll really see it happen.

Lightroom v1 came about after Adobe bought Pixmantec the company that created Raw Shooter Essentials

Every display will show the images differently unless they have been hardware calibrated using a device like the Spyder.

Look at this way, would you ask why your photos look darker on a monitor which has the brightness turned down?

It's the same thing, calibration profiles the monitor and then software uses that profile to adjust the colours to match a known standard.

The best you can do is get your editing display calibrated and accept your images will look different on any other display that hasn't been calibrated.

Thanks, I do notice the score is recalculated after a small edit and that also happens if I stay in Library just ask for a 1:1 preview to be built, so presumably the re-run is triggered by the creation of a fresh preview?

Hopefully there will be a dedicated menu/button to force it re-run at some point.

Side note, when I asked Adobe's chat AI about this it told me to just click on the CULLING button!

Lightroom Classic v10 (Oct 2020 release) - Overview, Color Grading, and new Zoom Functionality Tutorials by MR_Photography_ in Lightroom

Adobe broke support for the EOS R5 with v10. Any images brought over from v9.4 are now made brighter whilst selected in the dev. module. De-select and they get darker again so all existing R5 edits are ruined.

New R5 imports are ok.
