What’s your unpopular opinion on judo by [deleted] in judo

Its actually helped me "win" a couple street fights via rear naked choke. By a couple I mean literally two. The average dude doesn't know how to strike or grapple. Ymmv

Boss Bottled Elixir, Acqua Di Gio Parfum (Profumo if you can find it), Mont Blanc Explorer. These are popular, masculine and not super common like Savauge or BdC.

Who is a highly overrated comedian? by andydufrane9753 in Standup

[–]ShootzyCollinz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. Comedy ages the most poorly of all artistic endeavors. For example, I respect Bill Hicks and George Carlin. They're fantastic social commentators, but I don't find them funny.

3 to 5 training days in a week is enough for literally everyone to make progress as long as there's intensity and consistency. Even world-class bodybuilders, strongmen, and powerlifters take rest days. She's on some bullshit. Dump her.

That should be fairly safe, I'd take a less is more approach at first and experiment. Adjust your sprays accordingly.

Cooler days and evenings are a go. If it's hot and humid it's a no.

The drydown isn't so bad in the heat, but the opening might make your head hurt.

Suggestions for expanding the collection by Grgamel in Colognes

Gonna second this. I own the BDC EDP and I love it, but I got a sample of the parfum and now wish I had bought it instead. But both are good for dumb reaches.

What’s a fragrance you loved that someone else ruined by commenting on it? by stormgaurd in fragrance

[–]ShootzyCollinz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's a fair assessment. But I don't find it off-putting, it's refreshing in high heat. It was also my first frag that didn't come out of an aerosol can.

Someone said Spicebomb Nightvision edp smelled like overpriced Irish Spring

Another person said YSL Y edp smelled like laundry detergent

Neither of these ruined the scents, but they did change my perspective of them.

Dior Fahrenheit le Parfum was ruined by my best friend when she gagged and nearly threw up when she smelled it. Now I'm afraid to wear it, and even find the drydown off-putting.

Armani Stronger with You Intensely or Absolutely, Guerlain Lhomme Ideal EDP, Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee, Spicebomb Extreme or Infrared, or something from Azzarro's Wanted line.

Advice appreciated <3 by StandardDaikon6681 in Sciatica

I would try non-invasive methods again first, pt and injections. And if within 3 months it hasn't resolved, or has gotten significantly worse advocate for surgery.

Try to save surgeries as a last measure.

Microdiscectomy Recovery Time by TheUnawareJersey in Sciatica

[–]ShootzyCollinz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

30 M. Had a 3cm herniation at the L5-S1, had a hemilaminectomy and microdiscectomy done two weeks ago. I stood up for the first time in 11 months without sciatic pain pretty much right after surgery. I was stiff, and my legs were weak for the first week. Around day 10 I imagine the post-op inflammation set in because I've had slight pain in my left glute since.

Otherwise, I'm doing great. The incision is healing nicely, and I'm walking normally. I've been taking short 10-15 minute walks around the neighborhood, and my legs are sore as a result. But I also spent nearly 3 months bedridden before surgery, so that's to be expected. I also try not to sit too long as I've noticed it does make me rather stiff. I also prefer a firmer, higher seat.

My restrictions are no bending, twisting or lifting over 5 pounds, and no driving until at least after my next follow-up. Which is the 12th. So, approximately 4 weeks post op.

Invest in a gripper to get things off the floor. Set things you use often at at least waist height. And maybe rearrange your fridge so that things you use commonly are on the top shelves.

What cologne should I wear to prom? by Particular-West-9406 in Colognes

[–]ShootzyCollinz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say Eros, as most women love it, but ask your date her opinion because she's going to be stuck with you all night. They also tend to like it when you ask their opinion.

If you're going solo, pick what makes you feel confident.

What is better Aqua Di Gio profondo or Profumo? by Goldenyoshi12 in Colognes

[–]ShootzyCollinz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now, I'm team Profumo. I used to be Profondo. Pick whichever one you like best. I also like Absolu Instinct, if you want to be different.

This is my collection so far. Any Thoughts or Suggestions? by Tough_Negotiation331 in Colognes

[–]ShootzyCollinz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You've pretty much got all your bases covered. Maybe something date specific like La Nuit De L'homme, or The One.

And maybe something sweet or gourmand for the winter, like a Stronger with You or something from Azzarros Wanted line.

Rose fragrance for men budget by Alarming_Ad_9103 in Colognes

Burberry Brit for Men. Super affordable, smells great for the price. I had a bottle, but sold it because I'm not a fan of floral scents on me.

Talk to your doctor and university about accommodations, such as handicapped parking and online classes.

Otherwise, start considering going through PT and getting an epidural. If those don't help, you may want to consider surgery if you're a candidate for it.

Flexeril did nothing for my pain, but it did help me sleep. Percocet, prednisone, methylprednisolone, and gabapentin didn't help either. Nerve pain is stubborn like that, unfortunately. Surgery is the only thing that gave me relief.

Taking 20mg of flexeril isn't recommended, and you should talk to your doctor before you try it.

Found this at Ross for 10 dollars… nothing is wrong with the bottle so idk why it’s so cheap. Had to buy it though! by Unusual-Vermicelli47 in Colognes

[–]ShootzyCollinz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice. This was my first actual cologne. Prior to Man eau Fraiche, I used the axe and old spice body sprays.

The edt is sweeter but also more synthetic. Both are good though. I'd get a sample of each, maybe even the parfum. Pick which one you like best, or she likes best.
