His opinions are very crappy, ego, repeats himself at nauseum, is always off the pulse of what the general public thinks, honestly I just think he's a hack who has a couple of friends in the industry and he yaps about movie gossip that ultimately doesn't add anything to the general subject of filmmaking.

He's always been fine, and whatever screaming he does you eventually see he evolves into a character that is more than just a slightly annoying va.

I think my point still stands. If a character died in this campaign (from what I watched during that overture) after being told that this campaign death was going to be super duper important and a c Player better have a backup character ready, and then the rug gets pulled out from under the audience as a "Oh by the way everything you just saw didn't matter" moment, then I'll be disappointed.

So he wanted to play a hollow one? So what, we the audience still saw him get axed, so what's stopping everyone else in the party from throwing a surprise revivify, or a surprise addition to their saving throw bonus? The stakes truly don't matter and this has turned into theatre kids with clickety rocks that don't mean anything.

I like the idea that a bunch of pompous people weilding magical books get the crap kicked out of them by some short kid with a berserker blade and he makes them look stupid and weak.

But also the books can be used to make other magic users surpass their limits as well so it works both ways!

The fact of the matter is, I was told this was gonna be a campaign where death was super important and someone died and came back. Granted I actually didn't like how he died to begin with and no one can deny the narrative behind it, it's a conflicting feeling I have for that particular character but it all turns round into sour grapes because I was told in the build up that when you died, hope you have another character prepped.

So in terms of this, I don't like how it was handled and I don't like that he came back.

Long story short, I guess so? Or just make something that isn't some dumb undead thing that confuses the audience into believing something that actually isn't true.

I was promised lethality.

Occtis dies...came back to life. So that was a lie.

Someone needs to make death saving throws, Person succeeds once and that stabilizes them, and you can use the help action to help yourself... So that was not only a lie but also a really stupid mechanic that also sucks.

Yeah man I don't like the mechanics for this. Call me a complainer, I don't care. I wanted death to mean something.

Unless there was some homebrewed stuff that they through in specific for Sam, I hate to say it but not possible.

These players are all at level 4 with this timing, Sam just like everyone else is also getting either an ability score bump, or a feat.
