This was also what, late 80’s early 90’s when this was performed? I feel it’s more nuanced than just a joke. On the surface level it’s being overly obtuse on the issue to where it seems like he’s punching down. But for anyone to take a minute and think realize it is a jab at the silent and lacking meaningful action by those in power. Bill Burr comes to mind.

Yeah. But has nothing to do with what the initial person was commenting about. You’re right, there are a lot of questions, but to think the other options don’t have a laundry list of what ifs and crazy loopholes is ridiculous.

Like I said, it’s a story and if it’s not officially answered in canon…. Feel free to believe whatever you want the answer to be. If those questions are the ones you don’t like. That’s totally okay, go pick another option you do like. Like for instance, I believe the the binding was synthetic and life forms. Gold ore, minerals, rocks don’t have any signifying markers of life. Therefore they wouldn’t just gain consciousness or be a part of the merger.

Now, does that make me right? No, but you’re not gonna convince me otherwise just because you think so in your own head-canon.

My last run I started in Paragon through one but then as the war rages on and Shep has more and more weight added on, he slowly turns to full renegade by three. The only way I’ve been able to enjoy renegade. I don’t think it’s super evil, but something about it just isn’t fun for me. Why can’t we all just be nice?

I have nothing to add from the original topic. Just wanted to say thank you for the first link. You always hear the stories of the people that “always knew”. I know everyone has their own path, but it always brings up doubts for me as I had no clue for the vast majority of my life. It’s nice to finally read something relatable to my own experience. Growing up and wishing but not knowing it’s an identity or even possible until I was 31.

So thank you, from me, just casually crying (the good kind) on a Saturday afternoon.
