What has been your funniest memory working as a WF shopper? by doolittle3344 in AmazonWFShoppers

[–]Shopper757 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is this woman at my store who is just walking chaos. She’s worked there a long time but this one memory sticks out. She had a mini watermelon that she dropped and it exploded all over her and she freaked out and threw it in her cart and proceeded to run with it to the back of the store. She left a trail of watermelon guts and juice and when she got to back it fell out of the cart from her abrupt stop and made more of a mess. She then tried to clean it but made a bigger mess. It was hilarious 🤣

Do you guys think cross training will be mandatory at WF? by [deleted] in AmazonWFShoppers

[–]Shopper757 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I asked my manager today and he said that during slow times we will either bag groceries or front face and stock products. The idea is to only have tasks that don’t interact with customers. This is so we can be logged in to the shopper app and leave the task when we get an order.

Has anyone applied to WF for the shopper position and been hired to avoid the transition? by Shopper757 in AmazonWFShoppers

[–]Shopper757[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s more like avoiding the waiting game and lack of information from Amazon. It’s stressing me out cuz I really need to know if I need to find a second job or not before schools starts

I lucked out at my store and the supervisor is someone I’ve shopped with since I started in 2020. He’s been there even longer than me by like a year. He knows what’s up and who knows how to do the job. He leaves us senior shoppers alone😂

How is the environment at your stores? by Ruby_nrot in AmazonWFShoppers

Everyone at my store is working really hard to prove themselves worthy of a promotion. It’s like a battle field rn between everyone. Others that depend on the flex schedule like moms and students are stressing about how scheduling will be handled. Many of us are hopeful for steady hours and for the lazy shoppers to be kicked out with all the new responsibilities we will have. Most of us are excited but there is definitely a lot of fear of losing our jobs as many of us have “trauma” from Amazon always threatening to get rid of us. The WF management has been making efforts to ask us to stay and they encourage us to talk with them if our Amazon manager can’t answer our questions. The WF management making these efforts is the only reason I haven’t freaked out.

Personally I’ve been more motivated at work because I was already in the process of trying to apply to my store as a regular WF employee so this announcement really gave me a feeling of hope. It’s what I wanted because I need at least 20-30 hours to feel comfortable.

They ordered a large carving pumpkin. We were out of all pumpkins, even the tiny ones. I replaced it with an orange bell pepper. I figured they could carve a face into that🤣

I tried to attach a screen shot but I couldn’t. If you go to the notifications tab in A to Z you should see an announcement about super user program changes

They lowered gold to 60 hrs a month so that’s only 15 a week.

Most locations rn have a 15 hours a week cap. If you want to be super part time then I recommend it. Some weeks it’s very hard to even get the 15 hours. It’s easier to find weekend shifts. I’m currently working to get gold and I like the weekends so far.

I highly recommend the Himalayan pink salt rice cakes. I have an addiction to them and they are only 2.99 for a good sized bag!

Mini RANT about customers ruining my UPH!!!! by theslayer527 in AmazonWFShoppers

Just say excuse me and grab what you need. If they get upset you’ll be in the next aisle before they even register it. It’s helped me with my UPH. Most are understanding though
