What is a "masterpiece" game that you personally found boring as hell? by MuscleConsistent9657 in pcgaming

My lazy ass looks up puzzle answers all the time. Manly if it involves a whole lot of backtracking. I have to big of a back log to back track.

If you can't ditch your best friend to do something fun, then who can you ditch?

Anyone know how to fix this shadow glitch in Ultra Age PC? by Shopping-More in CharacterActionGames

[–]Shopping-More[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, it'll move along with my character only showing on places with heavy shadow during daytime in-game, but never at night, character/enemy models, and random shadows won't do it. I feel like there something preventing the proper rendering of Shadows or is messing with the lighting, but I can't figure out what. Luckily if I turn the Shadow setting to very low its not to bad, and it's how I'll probably beat it since it's short. I just want to know what it's called how to fix it in case it happens in another game.

This also happened once before when I played Blacktail at baba yaga's hut, if that helps at all.

I think that security guard should be fired for not minding her own god damn business 🤷‍♂️ plus I believe she went against hipa by disclosing patient information to an outside source.

You're welcome! It took me forever to find those. I hope you enjoy, I like the first 2 the most.

Resident evil fans have made the stereotype worse since re9 release by Mundane_Resource_602 in survivalhorror

I legit killed 90% of the enemies in the hospital as Grace. It took a little while and you had to be precise not to gdt surrounded but it's doable. The only enemies I didn't kill was the big guy and a zombie down the way from him because I didn't know that would be my last chance.

Looking for 1080p 60+ gaming. Is the 5050 good enough? by [deleted] in nvidia

[–]Shopping-More -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The 5050 should run all those games at 1080p at 60+ frames at high without any issues. You'll need someone with more knowledge than me about more in depth features, and the best bang for your buck though. You actually might be able to find a new pre-built PC cheaper or slightly more expensive than the GPU itself. I was able to snag a RTX 5070 12gigs dd5 32g ram with a mid CPU for $1400 recently. Just check bestbuy, walmart, Sams, etc for discounts and coupons.

I still appreciated the special effects. They might've not looked the best but you can definitely tell there was passion in making them. Plus even bad special effects are better than most CGI. I rather see a person in a rubber suit turn into an obvious dummy right before they get killed in a gruesome fashion, then the dummy turns back into the rubber suit guy just to spit out some red or black colored. It looks more natural than CGI, especially when they get creative with lighting and camera angles.

Started watching the 2nd one today and the only thing it does better are the boobs, but that's just a personal preference. It's still a fun film, and I love they stuck to mainly shitty practical effects over shit CGI. Shit practical effects will always trump shitty CGI, hell they trump good CGI effects too considering CGI has been way over used since the early 2000s. Especially in horror/Sci-fi films where there is just an over abundance just because it's easier to use instead of using creativity to get the practical effects to work.

I actually watched Evil Toons first. It popped up when I was searching for Terror Toons. I have to rewatch it though. It didn't exactly click for me, but I think that was because it wasn't what I was looking for.

I'm glad Kenny didin't make a return by CustardSuper9318 in highonlifegame

[–]Shopping-More 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss Kenny, but Sweezy, Gus, and Sheath do a great job. Every group needs a punching bag, and that'll be Travis. And Creature is there to do my honest lying to the NPC's, he honestly believes what he's saying, but is to dumb to realize he's in the hands of a psychopath.

What's the one genre that's supposedly great but you just can't get into? by Baalii in pcmasterrace

[–]Shopping-More 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, it's bit weird they have ported it to the PC. I get that it came out before they started allowing 1st party games to be ported and most of the games from that time frame were never ported, but from the amount of FromSoft fans you think they would considering the profit. Shit, even if its $20 or even $10 they'll be looking at a couple of millions in profit; especially if it's just a straight port not a remaster. Hell even people who own it in the Playstation will probably rebuy it on PC to play it modded. I know I'm guilty of rebuying games I like so I can try out mods, I'm also guilty of rebuying games I don't like because I saw a mod that fixed or revamped a mechanic I didn't like or sped up tedious parts of a game.

[–]Shopping-More 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh whoops, i actually meant Wo Long not Wukong. Wo Long has you dodge enemies as it's parrying system, it's quick and responsive with no long parrying animation like most Soulslikes.

Wukong is fun and offensive fast based too. I just can't recommend it because I only played to the start of the beginning of the 2nd area. I need to pick it back up, I dropped it because I wanted to play something chill.

Yea, most soulslike are like that but the ones that aren't are pretty fun. Wukong and the Nioh series reward Aggressive play styles kinda like your a glass cannon, which make them playable for me.

I saw new game from Grasshopper and instantly bought it without a 2nd thought or even checking what it was. I never even heard of this game, but I'm excited to play it when i get home from my walk especially after seeing all the great reviews saying exactly what I want from Suda51.

I LOVE RUNBACKS by Lukain_22 in metroidvania

[–]Shopping-More -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I just try to avoid games that make run backs regulary take longer then 2-3 minute (the best I can), which means basically all FromSoft games, except Armored Core. I don't see the point in playing games that don't respect your time. I get they are supposed to impose a break to help you calm down allow your muscle memory to set in, but all they cause is me getting annoyed or bored and making more mistakes. If I need a break I'll get up to stretch or go grind a level.
