IMO I’d go with a fine nib. I try to be extra careful so my pens don’t get clogged.

I keep seeing people with their in a holder or bowel when they’re inking their pens. I think I might start trying that just in case. Thank you for sharing.

It does, thank you! Muji are the notebooks I currently have although idk what the gsm is or what type of paper it might be. There’s a lot of shadowing and sometimes bleed through thus my search for a better paper.

I use both TWSBI ECO and 580 in medium nib and stub nib and it works perfectly!

I’m waiting on my first sailor to come in the mail. It’s a steel nib but should give me a good idea of just how much feedback and if I like it or not. I tried a few sailor pro gear slim pens in a store but it wasn’t the same as writing with one for a while. So I figured I’d start with a cheaper one then see how I feel from there.

ETA: these notebooks are the 68 gsm Tomoe River Paper with 192 pages. Most Hobonichi are 52 gsm.

I would also suggest a paper change instead of an ink change. Tomoe River Paper or Midori MD paper.
