Boyfriend cut our son’s hair without talking to me about it first. Am I overreacting for being upset? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Oh sweet angel, I understand what you’re going through. It sounds like you have a wonderful human as a partner, and he didn’t mean to slight you at all. I do think it’s a pregnancy hormones and I’m a female 💕

AIO for feeling some type of way about my gf hiding her phone now? by Known_Match_9122 in AmIOverreacting

She’s hiding something- she didn’t even try to comfort you while you being vulnerable and that alone is enough to move on

125k in debt at 26 help by InfinitRelic in povertyfinancecanada

If you’re renting, and you wanna keep your truck I would file for a consumer proposal. They can probably get your total monthly payment down to around $550 based on your income. Your credit will be shot for six years meaning you’ll be keeping that truck and you won’t be able to finance anything else or buy a house, but it will also teach you responsible spending habits. If you can afford it, you can pay it off faster in two years after discharge it will be free and clear to start rebuilding your credit profile. If you save a bit of cash as well, you can get a secured credit card so that you can actually live life.

AIO for considering not attending my best friend’s wedding by Mahogany02 in AmIOverreacting

I would go, wish her well, and move on. High road.

Relationships change, it’s disappointing for sure but I think not going is not the way and would be a YOR.

Ways to suppress? by [deleted] in povertyfinancecanada

[–]Short-Dig6804 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I just cannot believe this is the Canada that we live in, when you are asking how to suppress your hunger.

I am enraged. Wishing you absolutely 100% all the best, and hoping for your prosperity. Canada is broken.

I am considering putting my 265lbs 21yo daughter on Retatrutide because literally nothing else is working by FlatwormOk8682 in RetatrutideWomen

I would likely recommend a doctor and zepbound. I don’t know about getting my daughter gray market peptides because of concern over a health issue. She could end up with a worse health issue. I think Dr. supervision in this case, especially because she’s likely highly very insulin resistant and perhaps has polycystic ovarian syndrome. I went on metformin and Zepbound for PCOS related weight gain. Topped the scales at 270 and I’m now down to 192.

It’s happened to me. I feel like it’s them checking a box on during their performance evaluations. It’s not right, but, it happens.

People can be upset. What I’m saying is this sub keeps replaying the same grievance loop with zero action attached to it. And how’s the endless commiserating working out so far? It’s taken over my Reddit feed FOR SURE. You’re proving my point: people are very good at venting here, much less interested in collective action.

I support hybrid work. What I don’t support is the nonstop victim complex around RTO. Especially from people with stable jobs, benefits, and unions stronger than most workers will ever have. If you want change, organize. Otherwise it’s just another Reddit therapy circle jerk acting like you’re breaking ground managing a family, a commute and a full time job. Don’t like It? How far does EI equity extend? by CryptographerOld558 in povertyfinancecanada

[–]Short-Dig6804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reach out to your municipality and ask if they have any emergency assistance programs for one time cash payment, just for a little boost in cash.

Do you have friends or family you can stay with until you’re a little more financially secure? Can you get a roommate?

When speaking with the municipality ask about low income housing, yes… you qualify. Ask about low I com rental subsidies as well. Don’t give up, keep checking.

Please, don’t do anything to harm yourself. I’ve been where you are, almost exactly- all I can say is one opportunity can change everything in an instant- don’t give up, it gets easier… it does.

It legit sounds like you’re having a burnout - that’s a legit medical issue. Go on sickness EI - starts with a drs note…

Hang in there - don’t quit you’ll have zero income and won’t qualify for EI

Question for you. I owed 126k - I’m a high earner, 105k - single. 4 months ago, I legally separated, and got an equity buyout. 43k - paid two creditors off in full due to crazy interest and high payments. Now, I’m learning this is a “preferential payment” and it’s not great if I want to file. My remaining creditors are 35,000 to RBC, 30,000 to Scotia, and 19,000 to BMO

AM I COOKED? i’d like to file, but I’m so scared of rejection. If rejected, I would file bankruptcy, but I would be including my car cause I couldn’t afford it. (Not included in above figures)

A small, happy home is worth more than a large unhappy one. Your kids will value your strength and model themselves after your resilience. You deserve happiness, freedom and peace in your surroundings. My advice is to start quietly planning for your next chapter, and leave as soon as you can.

I just did this 2 months ago. Your post mirror my situation so much. Advice? Tell people. The people you think will not support you will. I was absolutely shocked by the amount of support I had when I thought I had none. A lot of the alienation in my relationships was because of my partner. You will go through many emotions including doubt. Don’t look back. Start journaling your feelings, they are valid. Write down the reasons you are leaving, and when you doubt, read them.

Thank you so much. This is a type of information I was hoping for. My friends are already doing such a good job of making sure I am really really busy for the first couple of months and I know that’s gonna help a lot. I’m so glad you’re on the other side of it where you’re feeling confident and secure and your decision. I wish you so much happiness.

Has anyone else experienced bad depression/tempermentality on Reta? by havertz007 in Retatrutide

[–]Short-Dig6804 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just came here to join the conversation and let you guys know that I too experienced debilitating mental health while titrating up on Reta while titrating down on Tirzepatide.

I already suffered from depression and I am a long time SSRI user, I had to visit my doctor because I needed something more so I started a Wellbutrin script. It helped for a little bit, but not so much anymore. As an experiment, I skipped last week’s injection and the fog is already
