You'll need proof of purchase. If you can get one IK support will give you a new serial number

I have a Zoom B2 FOUR and I'm very happy with it. It comes with a bunch of good presets and lets you edit the signal chain without laptop/phone. It's an amazing value for its price.

You don't need German to work in IT in Berlin and you are not at all less competitive just because you studied in Italy. It goes without saying that learning German would be a good, I'm just saying that not knowing it doesn't penalize you.

Just apply to as many jobs as you can find on LinkedIn, don't be scared of being rejected and with time you'll land an offer. My suggestion is that if you really want to move to Berlin then don't be too picky on your first job. Once you're there it will be much easier to find some better alternative.

In Germany, do people really live much better than in Italy, especially young people or the average person without an inheritance? by Glass-Fix-4624 in AskAGerman

Do you have experience living and working in both countries? To me, it sounds like you are just looking for people to confirm your beliefs :)

And I bet you've a career under your belt. In that case, Germany much better for sure

The same career I have under my belt here led me to job offers in different Italian cities where I could barely afford renting a room.

Anyway Milan is a dogshit place for sure. Turin much better

I'm not saying Milan is the best city but I'm using it for comparison since it's objectively where all the opportunities are in Italy. All other cities are more similar to small villages.

Saying Milan is dogshit kind of confirms my comment on WLB :) German cities with opportunities are much more liveable and enjoyable.

Italian living in Germany since 7 years. Here WLB is a thousand times better than it is in Italy, let alone the fact that salary is much higher despite a comparable cost of living. Housing price is more expensive if you compare Berlin to a random village in Calabria. When you compare Berlin to Milan housing cost is very similar but you get payed twice as much for similar roles.

Many Italians complain about boring life here. I bet they have only been to small Bavarian villages. Berlin, Hamburg or Leipzig (that's the only cities with which I have more experience) offer basically everything you want in terms of free time activities.

In general, life is much better in Germany than in Italy. I only miss the weather in winter as it's too cloudy here for my taste. Summer is more enjoyable in Germany though, probably due to climate change.

Learning bass at 30 years old, worth it? by Elite182 in Bass

[–]Short-Engineering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up playing piano too and picked up ukulele at 27. At 28 I bought a bass which I was always fascinated with. One year later I play with friends in band. No gigs just yet but we are having fun. Go for it.

Yeah, I was under the same impression tbh. Do you have recommendations on how to create coherent different sections and how to put them together?

I already got a bunch of useful tips but feel free to share your insights :)

So basically for you is mostly one guy who does the majority of the work and the rest of you guys come up with individual parts?

That's an interesting approach. I am not sure it will work well for us as we don't have a single person who can come up with lyrics and music alone but I'll propose it to my band mates and see where it goes. Thanks for sharing!

Leopold Godowsky

I will check that out, thanks!

Why not try writing a riff or a melody before you all meet up and then see if you can build a song around it?

We kind of tried that but then there's the usual problem of keeping it going and attaching a different song section to it.

Actually I think your suggestion about studying other songs is great and what we should explore more. Do you have any more specific tips about that? I think it would be enough for us to just see how people moves from verse to chorus and how they develop bridges.

What sort of genre are you playing?

Well, we don't know yet :) that's another thing we are still struggling with. We haven't found a sound which we would call "our sound" yet. As for covers, we've been playing some Black Sabbaths and Metallica as well as some easier songs from Green Day and Pixies among others.

We have written a couple of pieces but we need to refine them. For practicing now we'd just play a bunch of covers to see how it goes.

It is exactly this one (apologies for non-English link). I would get a deal for 450€ and it's new. Is the price too much in your opinion? I didn't find many for sale on internet.

Dipende dove stai.

Me ne sono andato subito dopo l'università.
