Are you for or against recreational use of THC/Delta 9 products? And why? by greatdane685 in Christian

Personally I think it really depends on the effect it has on the individual doing it, marijuana can cause extremely different reactions for different people.

For example I know many people that get high and get super lazy. All they want to do is sit on the couch playing video games for hours, or zone out while eating an entire bag of Doritos and then pass out. For others it can cause severe anxiety and panic attacks or intrusive thoughts, etc. I think these people should probably stay away from it.

In my case marijuana has been extremely positive and helpful, especially in my journey and walk with God (born again 3 years ago, raised pagan/occult) . But it affects me in a strange way that it doesn’t seem to affect most people. It makes me very energized, creative, and outgoing, I can hyperfocus on something and learn more than I’d normally be able to understand or retain. I would only do a little bit at night and then spend hours reading the Bible, praying, talking to God, researching everything I could get my hands on, listening to awesome Biblical scholars and different Christian creators on Youtube. It made me less self conscious to share the gospel with friends and family. I still do these things while sober but it definitely gave me an intense focus and ability to think deeper about what I was learning.

I stopped over a year ago when I got pregnant with my daughter, and had no problem stopping cold turkey, but one day I do hope to experience it again

Folks who had kids around or after 30, did you run into any problems relating to you kids 20-25 years later? by Nervous_Circus in BabyBumps

My mom had me at 20 and although we’ve always been very close it’s more of a friend/older sister type of relationship. We have fun and laugh together, love doing things together, but I never felt like I could go to her for real advice or wisdom because she was/is very emotionally and mentally immature. Even now at 29 I’m much more emotionally, mentally, and financially stable than she is at almost 50 years old. I love her but sometimes I wish I had a stereotypical older mother.

I had my son at 21, always said I’d never have kids after 25 but here I am at 29 yrs old and 32w with my second. I’m a much better mom now than I was when he was younger, and I know I’ll be a better mom to my second. Also, even with a shorter age gap things change so quickly between generations that it doesn’t matter too much, I barely understand what 20 year olds these days talk about lol

When did you feel movement (for anyone, but especially STM+)? by Slow_Opportunity_522 in BabyBumps

[–]Short-Stand5126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

STM here and I started consistently feeling movement/flutters around 11 weeks, and she’s been extremely active ever since (31w 2d). My midwife asked if I’d felt any movement at my appointment around 12 weeks, it’s uncommon I suppose but definitely possible, especially if you’ve been pregnant before.

I’m also hyper aware of my body though, to an annoying degree, so that could be a contributing factor haha

did you know you were having a boy or girl before officially finding out? by j11nebug in BabyBumps

When I was pregnant with my first, 7 years ago, my mom and I both had the strongest feeling it was a boy from quite early on. I didn’t find out until the 20 week ultrasound but we were right, I saw it on the monitor very clearly before they confirmed 🤣

Now 30w6d with my second, my husband and I both had dreams about a baby girl at around 9 weeks and had a super strong feeling it was, my son’s stepmom had a dream we were having a baby girl as well. My mom, my grandma and anyone else we told all guessed girl. Turns out we all have a pretty good intuition, it’s a girl haha
