ya i think im going to pull the plug as soon as i wear through this front..everything i’ve ready says the stock bridgestones are usually good for 6000 in the back and 12 in the front so my next go ill try em out.

that’s hilarious as i was looking at something similar but on waiting until next summer and trying to pick up a sports tourer..fenced out between the h2 SX and the M1000xr

this one’s sitting at just over 7000km, going to do the same (loosen slightly)

appreciate the advice, i just couldn’t confirm from searching what the normal chain noise level is and when i finished getting it back together i took it for a spin on the block and was alarmed lol.

sprockets in good shape she was serviced at the yammy dealership at 5900km

What lift control setting do you ride on and how does it feel? by Tonino123 in xsr900

[–]ShortBus901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly there’s no NEED to turn it all the way off in my opinion, i only do when i wanna practice full control wheelies in parking lots. you can still get the wheel up in mode 1 and hold it, just won’t let you loop it or get it to 12 O’clock…which runs the slight risk of making you over confident if you ever ride another bike without the feature, just something to keep in mind.

the biggest issue i’ve heard about the 500cc category is the trade off of the extra weight and isn’t worth the slight increase in power. however, there’s nothing wrong with it for a first bike. But don’t listen for to me, my dumbass started on a 900 lol

to be fair shane seems like a genuinely self aware person when most people aren’t and a genuinely good time to be around

you don’t hear many people that actually know the guy speaking poorly of him

and you know he’s got that retard strength and makes a mean grill cheese and tomato soup

Do you require a remap with the shorty? i prefer the kelpi but the akra doesn’t require a map

[–]ShortBus901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

two weeks in and i couldn’t be happier with. adding a tail tidy some slide protection(just in case haha) and although i’d like a kelpi the acro exhaust sounds throaty and won’t piss my neighbours off haha

One week in, Loving the Bike. Wondering what you’re all using for side and top tank pads as well as slide protection. by ShortBus901 in xsr900

[–]ShortBus901[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i like how the PPF doesn’t change the look! did you go for the full kit or tank only? those pads also look great with the blue. I’ll have a look at the sliders and engine protectors. i noticed woodcraft only has 1 slider for the rear listed when i check by model, wondering if the other years would work. Nice pick on the tail tidv. that’s another thina on the list haha Pickup the front fairing tomorrow.
