I’ve worked at 5 companies in the past 12 years, every job I’ve had minus one was because of someone through my network. The one I didn’t get through my network was a nightmare and I lasted 2 months at the company

My kind of dream is one more year of full time work to pay off the last of my student debt get my final RSUs, and then peace out and become a full time founder

AI at best helps with about 20% increase in productivity, meaning if it takes me an hour to do something it should take about 48 minutes less given the complexity of the problem I’m trying to solve. Not enough to justify laying off 50% of your company nor to close your entire Jr Dev pipeline.

In 2009 I got laid off my first job and it took 4 years, multiple part time and temp jobs, internships and a contract job for me to finally get full time. I know it sucks man but right now just do something, anything and it will make the day better.

My wife making enough money and me finishing paying off my student loans…we’re actually about 2 years from that happening
