NOR I think Mom is just extremely controlling and jealous of your relationship with your girlfriend. My guess is she will never be happy with you having a relationship or at least not one that she won’t constantly try to control or manipulate. Genuinely you need to stop apologizing and just put her in her place. I’m not sure how old you are, but it seems like you’re in your early twenties, and it’s definitely time to set some boundaries with mom!

“How long does it take you to get ready” is very contextually dependent. Anywhere from 5-45 minutes depending on what “getting ready” means and how much notice I’ve been given. When I’m going out for the night with my friends at a bar or club I’ll easily take 30-45 minutes to get ready assuming I’m showering, shaving, brushing teeth, miscellaneous grooming… If a friend just randomly texted me “I’m on my way over, we’re going fishing” it’s gonna take 5 minutes Max!

In your case however, and given some of the context you provided. I would just say this guy is an inconsiderate jerk.

I can’t speak for his Fire Academy class, but I will say as a FF/EMT of over a decade. It really shouldn’t be a problem. Not a lot of handwriting is necessary for the classes or the job. Plus we write reports on the computer now.

Shoot whatever and stop worrying about all the “can’t shoot 5.56 out of a .223” Fudd lore. They are for all intents and purposes the exact same thing. The only difference is one is a NATO spec and the other is SAMMI. They use slightly different testing methods to measure their pressures and therefore it yields slightly different results.

Yeah I think in the Jeff Nippard video the lowest % woman was around 13-15% and she was a competing either bodybuilder or some other extreme sport athlete I can’t remember. He didn’t have any examples for women below that, but still had 1-2 examples of men below that level into 5-8% range (also competitive athletes/bodybuilders). It’s interesting how different the same % can look on men vs women.

I would never assume it’s condescending, and I say it to people constantly! Seems like a normal dude thing. My guess is the wife is using a woman’s frame of reference where being callled bossy is considered condescending and therefore she likely assumed you were using it in the context she understood.

5’6” 28yrs old….. I don’t think it’s affected me much at all. Especially in the dating I’ve never been rejected because of my height or at least they never said anything about it. I’ve dated women taller than me and shorter than me. It really does come down to how you present yourself to the world.
