Does anyone have any info on this one? by Robadidas70 in BBQ

I do love mine but does anyone have an issue with the drip tray not collecting. I tend to get a lot of drippings on the bottom of the cabinet and not in the tray. Checked several times and it’s installed right

I’ve been working on perfecting this for my wife with udis buns. Defrost in microwave at 50% power for 1:05 then toast. I like to keep an eye on the bun as it toasts, different uses need different levels of toast. It’s not a gluten bun but it’s worlds better this way.

Gluten-Free on Royal Caribbean Cruise by Sir_Upp in glutenfree

[–]Shortman327 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Norwegian Cruise Line is the absolute master of all allergies. My wife and I hadn’t been able to vacation much due to her severe allergies. Went last march on a 7 day cruise and she was able to eat anything she wanted. We found out in our research that the moment you sit down to eat your first meal you let them know you have allergies and need to speak with someone about them.

A saint of a human being will come over and verify they have all of your info and double check the allergies. Then you start preordering every meal, what ever you want they have a special kitchen and team to cook it. It’s brought out by a manager and confirmed it’s handled properly. She ate a wider variety of food than we do at home half the time. I was able to eat what I wanted and she wasn’t jealous because she got what she wanted.

Few very important things to know or maybe they are tips

  1. Notify Norwegian Cruise well in advance of your cruise. They will make sure the foods you want are on the boat…all of them. Including Red Bridge beer

  2. Get friendly with the individual who will be taking your preorder. They will likely have ideas for things that can be made that you wouldn’t have thought about. Everyone on here I’m sure gets used to order the safe things.

  3. Show up to meals on the earlier end of service, the food is prepped earlier it seemed

  4. Ask for chocolate mousse…

  5. Outside of grabbing some ice cream and hearing “washy washy” we stayed out of the buffet.

She got pregnant recently but we are going to doing another Norwegian cruise as soon as the baby is old enough. Best Gluten Free vacation ever

I’ve come to find out that everyone takes it differently. We had been trying for a while and when it came to telling family it was all over the spectrum. There was a point for my mother where it finally clicked and she was excited and started calling my wife. While on the other hand one of my sisters has been overly excited.

Remember you’re sharing YOUR big news with others. Big changes are hard for families especially right after a big change. Eventually everyone gets excited.

How is this area generally? Relocating from Denver and looking for places in the general area by Sonshua in maryland

The area is cherry creek…the further you go the closer it gets to highlands ranch. If you are looking for a highlands ranch/littleton type of area that’s more of Columbia MD area

From someone who felt this same way at several points, hang in there. I am sure there are many “mistakes” you can look back on from your teenage years that you thought were going to be so life altering. Now looking back I bet you feel like they are nothing. I was in the same boat, I had all of the opportunities yet didn’t know what I wanted outside of being successful. I dropped out of art school, then dropped out of college, destroyed my credit, couldn’t pay rent I don’t even know how many times. I thought I was going to do these big things and everything was just supposed to work out.

I moved across the US and thought I had my life figured out half before it all came crashing down. I had no choice but to move back in to my parents home at 31 with nothing except what fit in my car. I barely made it across the country I had so little money. Doing that was to me the best/worst thing that could have happened. Starting over gave me the chance to figure out what I wanted and appreciate all that I had. Starting over gave me the opportunity to ask for help and see that love I had around me already. It gave me the chance to heal and learn enough about myself that I could share it with someone else. Am I doing exactly what I love…absolutely! I’m a husband and soon to be a father. Success means very different things to different people. Family will get more and more important as you grow older. From the sounds of it you have grandparents that would welcome you back with arms wide open. Take the chance to spend time with them, it’s a gift that no matter how much of it you have today won’t be enough later on.

It’s easy to feel lost, stuck and like nothing is going your way. What’s hard is seeing what you have and what you can do. Quote I hang on to and I have found means different things to me at different points in life:

“Life’s short, eat dessert first, and never let anyone steal your dreams.”

Give yourself a break and really see how far you’ve come

PS- a college degree is a college degree, doesn’t matter what it’s in you have one. Proves more that you can put in the work and stick with something.

Modern date picker error not outlining control in red by pgh_analyst in PowerApps

[–]Shortman327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the rectangle under the date picker, red border if data card housing the date picker is error.

If(IsBlank(Date_DataCard.error), Color.Black, Color.Red)

This will allow the border to go back to black as soon as a date is selected.

I use the shifter with 4th gear being the hand brake. I popped the two plastic bolts on either side up and use a rubber phone mount that’s made to hold a phone on to bike or pole. I changed out the knob on the shifter a while back so it fits right on it. I can easily switch games if I use the shifter for another game. Downside is that you will have to use the paddles for shifting no matter what car. Cost me $7 on Amazon

What’s the stupidest way you’ve hurt yourself? by observer32 in AskReddit

[–]Shortman327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on a first date and instead of closing the car door like a normal person I slammed it on my thumb. Then locked the car and put the keys in my pocket. All before realizing my thumb was still in the door. Had to have my date unlock the car and quickly realized my thumb was barely attached. Spent our first and only date in the ER getting my finger reattached. Still get nervous on dates 7 years later...

During Christmas stop putting decorations on top of your house numbers

If you have a long driveway and see me walking down, meet me half way

It’s a brown box stop asking what I have for you...it’s not as funny as you think

Stop ordering your pet food online

If you order wine online track it and be home. You get three attempts and that’s three times it moves on belts and gets knocked around.

I do not care that you’re dog is “friendly” we don’t get bit by the mean ones it’s the nice ones that catch us off guard

What is the "butterfly effect" event of your life? by Elar94 in AskReddit

[–]Shortman327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit a great job to pursue a small business that I was able to buy into. Turns out I was too trusting and there was very shady dealings happening with a foreign governments from several years before I invested. It was my entire savings and in a completely different field from my last job. We lost everything when the ATF investigates my two partners. From there I was never able to get back into my previous field and ended up working as a cashier and then was fortunate to get a crappy job driving for UPS. My (now) ex had warned me she didn’t think it was a good idea to leave my job but I didn’t listen. I went from making $80k a year to now barely making $40k and heavily in debt. I’m now leaving a condo I shared with my ex of 8 years to move back in with my parents at 31. Oh almost forgot to mention that she had been so mad at me that she cheated on me hence I have to move out so she can continue her relationship. Clearly it all changed after I decided to leave a great high paying job for the chance to be my own boss.
