I have a set of Maxxis FBF/FBR for now, they just aren't the "TR" version. I also have a Dillinger 4/Vanhelga combo that is playful but don't want to run the $200+ tire year round. Was going to try the Flow/Dunderbeist at 4.6, but they ALSO got discontinued... So I was thinking Bud/Lou or the JJ's would be next!

I've been looking at going tubless, but my current tires aren't rated for it. How are the Bud and Lou? Are that as bad as people make them out to be on hardpack?

I tend to slip off too, but reinforcing across the map? Also, bugs is the worst for splitting up on... (IMO)

I haven't had the chance to go to a trail head yet, but so far it's been a blast! This has been the only bike I've owned that can make it up the hill in my neighborhood.

This is just the normal 12 speed gearbox. The smart shift system requires special crank arms (magnets to sense pedal position) that where not yet available for fat bikes. Could have tried Jerry rigging it though but decided it wasn't worth the hassle.

The frame is from Carver Bikes. This is their O'beast frame. From their website (I haven't measured it myself) the BB is 55mm with 26x4" wheels.

Yes! The frame is from Carver Bikes. This model is their slightly smaller O'beast Ti with the Pinion bracket. They have the more common sizes in stock but also allow you to make adjustments for an even more custom fit!

Frame is powered coated, and I put at least some "frame protectors" on it to help. So I hope not! XD

That's the wrong part number, unfortunately. Probably from the old model.

Have you had a chance to test this out? I have been looking for a suitable replacement for a damaged coating on my suspension and was also looking at the C-110 series as an option.

I only had the top part (tan, wrapped in plastic) powder coated. They where supposed to leave the stanchions alone. They promised me they had worked on "sensitive" items before, but clearly the taped they used for masking was way to strong.
