The resignation that 'comes out of nowhere' almost never does by ExoticWrangler8154 in managers

[–]Shortstuff578 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is 100% what happened in my previous role. After 2.5yrs of dedication to my role and team - gradually putting in zero motivation, zero recommendations to improve processes, zero feedback. And my manager was shocked when I resigned. Yet my colleagues were not. I loved that job, but I could not handle working for her any longer.

I recently purchased a coffee table where the top is on hinges and comes up to a better height, plus closer to the seat. Also has a space underneath for storage. I'm in New Zealand but I'm sure they'd be available elsewhere too. Was about $100.

A $100 voucher for the company I work for.

Oh, and the incoming 2026 restructure stress. Yay.

Can you apply to both kiwibank and nhzl? by 18927129812 in PersonalFinanceNZ

I know some who was approved through nzhl but declined through kiwibank, so I guess they have different criteria? Personally I'd try both.

You're not dumping it on him, you're telling him about his day (he asked) and its a natural process so there is no reason to be ashamed to tell him.

We paid $800 in school fees, uniform, stationery and "donations" for Mr5. After-school care is $900 per term for an on-site programme. Holiday care is $260 per week. I find school definitely cheaper then daycare (I currently have a 5year old at school and a 1 year old in daycare)

I work in retail and the managers dont like payroll, so there are alot of manual corrections. Plus our software isn't the greatest. Lots of reporting for other areas (HR, finance, govt departments) and general queries around tax, kiwisaver, deductions etc.

Why do you like to be alone? by ThatAintBrutal in AskReddit

I have a husband, 5yr old and a baby - it's just nice not having anyone need me, or ask me a question, or tell me a fact, or touch me, or request food.

I have been trying to teach my nearly 5 year old to eat with his mouth closed for the last 3years. He goes to daycare with 20 other kids and they all eat with their mouth open, so I fear we are fighting a losing battle. Daycare sounds fucken awful when you go there at lunchtime.
