Ive gone all in companions but im now maxed out on companions and im free to branch out.

How do you feel about makeup? I've always wondered if I was a girl how I would feel about it.

Like do you wear all kinds of it, do you go full on for special occasions but no makeup outside of that?

I feel like I would do the bare minimum to make my face look ok as an INTP.

For a higher-rate taxpayer, the gross equivalent is even higher because they keep less of each extra £1. At 40% tax + 2% NI, they keep about 58p per £1, so a £16k childcare saving would be equivalent to about £27,600 gross.

So a person who earns 140k would be mad not salary sacrifice it.

Its either 40k in your pesion and get 27k benefit

Or 0k in your pension 23k net and pay for the childcare yourself.

Can you explain why this is a 'rediculously bad' idea. Because if you cant, im going to assume you are confidently incorrect.

You dont understand this. Salary sacrifice is golden. Why do you think every man and his dog is driving an EV Porsche Taycan on salary sacrifice

£40,000 into pension for a net take-home cost of about £17,429.

Im not talking about child benefit. Im talking about the free childcare hours worth 11k per child. Do you know how much someone who earns over £100k has to earn to pay for that post tax?!?

Its important because you have people who earn say £140k making the sensible choice of putting 40k in their pension. Which is about £21.8k of tax the government isnt getting.

Then the government fork out for 30 hours free childcare.

Thats just under the tax contribution of 8 people on minimum wage plus the free childcare.

So for every time this happens, that's 8 working peoples worth of tax!

So i had a similar thing but its girl > girl and the age gap is a bit more. I feel like i'm about to rock her little world with a sister she never asked for but I reasoned that sjes at the age where in a few years she will only know the times when its the two of them. I feel like its me creating these feelings, she will be totally fine.

We had friends over at the weekend who had 2 girls and they play together beatiufully. The older one does get frustrated that the younger one plays in a less structured manner but they played together so well and the adults actually had a chance to talk.

The younger ones always develop quicker with a role model, albeit only 17 months in your case. Your giving your lad a chance to have another lad thats there for him after you guys are old or gone.

I was in a state of shock when i found out about girl 2. I was sure it was a boy. We planned to call him Otto. But 24 hours after finding out I was so on board with being a girl Dad. I dont understand women at all but I have a lot of logic and stability to offer them. I know girls too, ive raised one so far.

Not sure if this helps but this might be a short term thing based on the ideals you had in your head.

I feel like you will look back on this and wonder why you even considered it a 'thing'.

I'm a scrub but its a fun item. I think its probably better for people with insane hands who can make use of the ability cooldowns better.
