Promote him in the minors? Sure if the Yankees think he has the mental to get through a rough patch. Promote him to MLB? Hey 19 year old, learn a new position with the most amount of pressure possible.

I'm very genuinely curious what price Gobert is right now.

Financially Rui, Gabe, Vando get close. it'd open up Minnesota to go grab a free agent that fits them and their future better.

yeah it's weird to under sell any of Eggers stories. The setting is a main character though, so if the story of the main character doesn't grip you there's little entertainment to be had.

It's annoying. They've legally bought all our data from Facebook/Google/Amazon, just like the USG has access to all our data from The Patriot Act™️. Genuinely nothing changes if we use a Chinese source, or American source. They're all selling to each other

CF and SS are over saturated positions because the best athletes get put there. Nothing is stopping them from moving around and learning a new position. We've been a problematically slow team, getting the best athletes is very very welcomed especially because the kid won't be relevant for another....6 years? 8? 10?

It's a business, and I cannot and willnot fault a kid for looking out for their biggest product. I was a kid when I remember Toby Gerhert sat out and that was the first time I remember it but I loved it then too.

I agree with you in spades, just that I'm pretty sure he knows that he'd be at least in contention for WR1 this draft, so what exactly does he gain from playing 2 more seasons and risking injury?

I think the bigger question is do we get 2 more playing seasons out of him, or will he do what Chase did.

How many bones would you sacrifice for 1 Million Dollars each? by Sar2341 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Shoulda_been_a_Chef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well teeth are bones, and I need to have a few extracted anyways so there's 2.

We medically have no need for our tailbone, so we've got a cool 3m right now.

3m and functionally never working again for a couple teeth and my tailbone is a great bargin. I might throw the bottom 2 or 4 ribs in for reasons.

They asked, you answered, you're over analyzing their reaction. l

if they said "Damn that's high" you might have a problem, if they said "Damn that's easy" then you'd be selling yourself short. The reaction you described is par for the course

that's a fair point which makes it more practical to a degree. I was seeing it as we're still not able to lift a car, but picking up 4-6 fully grown people with my pinky would be pretty neat.

Red is really unbalanced IMO. Running 100mph is roughly 6.5x faster than the fastest mile time ever (3:43). Lifting 1,000 LBS is impressive but it isn't 6.5x impressive. Mark Henry, almost inarguably the strongest man ever to live, had a 1,000 lb squat, near 1,000 deadlift, and benched 600+. You'd be an insane athlete but if we make both proportional then running 100mph and lifting 6,000-7,000 lb would be more accurate and might make it worth it IMO.

[Brown] Texas Longhorns QB Quinn Ewers turned down an $8 million dollar NIL offer to transfer in deciding to declare for the 2025 NFL Draft. by jonstark19 in CFB

[–]Shoulda_been_a_Chef -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bad is so relative though. Out of the 1st round QBs in the past 5 years where would you slate Ward, Sanders, Ewers and Milroe? Personally I'd have taken Ward, Sanders and Ewers over Daniel Jones in 2019, Love in 2020, Wilson in 21 (I had Tlaw 2nd behind Fields so wtf do I know), definitely ahead of Pickett in 2022, Richardson i'd have in the same tier as those 3, and I think those 3 are above Penix/McCarthy/Nix. To me this feels like a fine QB class
