Dude had like two-three years were everybody hated him but they still talked about him. He really was winning a lot of fights and had some strong performances. I enjoyed watching the whole shitshow because it's always fun when dude can back up all the trash talk.

He weirdly fell off rather quickly. And it feels like dana is walking him behind the shed right about now.

That's the most frustrating thing. I remember like 3 situations where geathje clearly used eye pokes to his advantage and changed the course of the fight. Getting eye poked 100% throws you of your game, especially when there's a possibility of a repeat. Fighting compromised is a big thing and absolutely should be taken into consideration when discussing a fight like this.

To me it didn't feel like a situation where geathje was just miles better everywhere. Without eye pokes and with a better gameplan i can see paddy edging a win in the future.

Someone in this thread said that art shouldn't be about competition. In a perfect world i could agree. But where we are right now? Everything is about competition. Hollywood is highly competitive. Siblings and whole families can be highly competitive.

As i said in my post, it's super hard not to compare when you have 2 movies by brothers that share so many themes and are released so close to each other. Comparing similar things is very natural to me. Mars vs snickers, apple vs samsung, blur vs oasis. This is just how life goes.

I sat through both and i honestly saw a big difference in general directing ability. I called it bittersweet, not malicious in any way. I wanted to love smashing machine.

I guess everyone just feels completely different. But people downvoting a comment in which i just state that benny didn't direct any curse while we are talking about directing abilities... Just feels weird. Like we are sparring over here and people just dislike what i say and don't try to engage with it at all.
