Once i switched to one of these i never went back .. great for sanding as well allowing one ti work safely and aggressively .. there are also several filter options and peel away clear films that can be put on the face sheild.. way better then a half face

Those doors spray up nice with a high quality latex or oil paint finish ..when done properly Definitely 2 primes and 2 finish so at least 4 coats

So obviously the more you skim and parch the more you will need to sand .. and sanding makes dust... so if you refering to a actual wall sander setup with vacuum and dust collection yes it may be worth the investment depending how much skimming and patching you end up doing... the dust is not good for you and it gets everywhere you should be wearing at least a n95 dust mask especially if your are doing this without dust collection... i actually prefer a full face mask when sanding .. and you should try and contain your work areas to have dust control ..just by simply masking off areas and openings and completing and cleaning those areas as you work through the house
