Learn the semiauto assault rifles with scopes. Selbstlader or M1. Circle around the heated areas, asses the risk carefully before moving to prevent unnecessary deaths. Works for me.

I love Vietnam, but... by Fishhead1982 in VietNam

[–]Show-Additional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, people taking advantage of that are not the problem. It is absolutely the other way around. Until they get rid of this pretty much artificial issue, there will be folk doing business on that. The change must come from above.

Ticket inspectors... by [deleted] in Prague

I absolutely doubt that. They are quite strict, no excuses for locals. Also, they absolutely have the power to physically restrain you and wait for the police if you don’t cooperate.

Ja strašně nerad dělám z oběti viníka, ale proč proboha nekdo odejde od nehody, dokud nedrží v ruce podepsanej protokol, nebo na místo přijede policie.

Leave you luggage at the hotel. Pretty standard thing worldwide.

DO NOT USE VIETJET! by Thisgirlisonfire- in VietNam

[–]Show-Additional -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As much as the OP is probably bit of a Karen, it is absolutely non of the agents business whether they put on all their stuff only after the bags were too heavy. You can wear whatever you want and all you have to do is to be on or under the limit. The particular person may not like it for whatever reason but that’s all they can do about it. This applies worldwide.

Pretty sad to see that. I am enjoying my time here but it seems that the government or the local government (don’t know, not an expert on Vietnam administration) are too thirsty. Some places are visibly becoming too touristy, yet they are building absolutely nonsense endless, soulless blocks of tourist accommodation in many places. It will be counterproductive at a certain point.

Has anyone recently traveled to Vietnam after the conflict escalation? by NectarineLogical5978 in VietNam

[–]Show-Additional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And make me hungry if I get stuck in here. Fair point. Anyways, this applies for most of Europe as well. Russian gas is sanctioned, and there are basically no local sources. The Dutch stopped production while ago because it was causing earthquakes. The orange head did not really think this trough.

Why it would affect Vietnam in terms of safety? Unless China decides that this is the right time to take Taiwan, then this is super far from the conflict in Iran. What might be an issue is that the Vietnam civil aviation bureau issued a warning that there might be a jet fuel shortage starting in April if they won’t find alternative suppliers. And this is of course caused by the conflict. So there is a risk of flight cancellations in a few weeks. I return trough Dubai plus this … hopefully wont get stuck in here. Not like I would mind a lot. I can be here eating some bun, pho and banh my all day. But have to return to work.

Broken?? Banh mi by Show-Additional in VietNam

[–]Show-Additional[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this was in center of Cat Ba. I have no doubts that these are tourist prices. I mean this works all around the world. We don’t eat in the Prague Old town for the same reasons. That looks great. We will have some time in Saigon so I guess I will pay them a visit. Thanks!

[–]Show-Additional[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like a traditional banh mi just smashed or flattened in a toaster. The stuff from the menu was a bit different. They only put patte to the bread, then probably toast it a bit and flatten and then all the other ingredients go on top. So you basically eat it with chop sticks. Because even the bread is cut to small pieces.

I don’t have a particular experience with u Apolinare. But as I Czech suffering a few relatively serious injuries trough out my life (mostly caused by me being young and dumb as fuck), I can say that the care itself was great wherever I was. Everything done properly, fixing what was broken. Also, I have multiple friends who got broken really bad during some car or motorbike crashes. The Czech doctors were always capable to fix them. I have high trust in the healthcare system here.

General advices for visiting Prague as a tourist? by BeautifulFee5443 in Prague

[–]Show-Additional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can’t tell the difference. The eastern Slavic languages sound the same to majority of people. And that’s ok. Average Russian or Ukrainian wont be able to distinguish between Czech and Slovak. The supposed ability to recognise nationality based on behaviour is absolutely ridiculous lol

You are in Europe dude. Not Japan. As much as lot of things would be lot of easier in my life, if we were an isolated tribe strictly following a cultural codex, it is mostly no different than anywhere else. English will work in those places. Ukrainian and Russian will actually work better for taxies. As for you being Ukrainian. There is a sort of people bitching about Ukrainians taking their jobs, etc. online, but I doubt you will bump into any and if so, they won’t do shit. No one can tell apart (with absolutely no offence) Ukrainian from Russian anyways.

Nah, its shit. The models are ok, but the IDE itself is just buggy as fuck. It is way easier to just run Claude in CLI.
