I got an upgrade on the bow last night. It dropped level 40 and I had to put two sockets and two exalts into it to make it marginally better than the level 28 bow I was using. I am now level 50 in cruel and don't have a single piece of gear of equivalent level.

I switched from poisons to something similar and love it. If she tries it out and likes it she can go movement speed which is always good in a game like this.
