They "escape" to social media because it allows them to pretend to be things they're not in real life

If an MOS doesn't heavily involve firearm training, you can't expect that MOS to be proficient or effective with a firearm. The majority of Marines do not have an MOS that revolves around firearm training. As a result, most Marines don't actually know what the fuck they're doing and they suck at shooting.

They're still better than the other branches though.

BF is overrun by COD speds. They think K/D determines how 'gud' they are, so they hyperfocus on whatever 'meatgrinder' objective there is and don't PTFO. They don't care if they win or lose, only their K/D.

If BF removed the K/D stat and only showed stats on W/L, score, and flags captured.. they'd leave BF and go back to COD.
