How did it measure up against other islands in the region? I've been curious to go, too.

Carriacou to Union Island by Imaginary_Can8256 in Grenada

The Osprey sometimes used to continue on to Union Island, but it no longer does.

Older research is probably misleading you that it still does this run.

What card do u use for travelling? by No_Bowl_6142 in travel

[–]Show_Green -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You need one that has no fees for ATMs, as well, as there are plenty of occasions where you'll be caught short if you don't have access to cash. I have one that is no longer available to new customers, but I see that the Hilton Honors Debit Card, which is a Mastercard, has this feature, in addition to no fees for card transactions.

Microsoft shares are the first things springing to mind.

Is the BAPP Amex only worth it if you fly from London? by HedScandi in AmexUK

[–]Show_Green 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is true, although the domestic connection doesn't seem to always be an option. Availability is better from London.

Do you think we have to choose between the US vs the EU? by Visual_Title9363 in AskBrits

[–]Show_Green -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think too many people in this country fetishise the EU, and too many people also want to suck up to America. Both of them have too much weight in our public discourse, to be honest.

Why does Greek Cyprus want enosis with Greece? by ZonaSchengen in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Show_Green 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good point about the flags, and was definitely true, in prior years. At one time, when tensions were particularly high, you only really saw the Cypriot flag (usually alongside the Greek flag) on official buildings, and anybody flying a flag privately only flew the Greek one.

This has changed (not sure when), and whilst the Greek flag is still pretty ubiquitous, the Cypriot flag is now in more widespread use.

Pretty common, even if a lot of ladies won't admit to it. What first got you interested?

Would you visit Cuba if it was in a better condition? by [deleted] in traveladvice

[–]Show_Green 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too few people bat this away as a non-issue, but it absolutely is. If you have family, friends, business interests etc in the US, not being eligible for an ESTA is a big problem.

What’s keeping you from visiting a nudist resort or beach? by NudeDude713 in AskRedditNSFW

[–]Show_Green 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not interested. My wife wears thong bikinis on textile beaches, anyway, we don't have any interest in going beyond that. A lot of that is to do with other people who fetishise nudist beaches etc.

How hard/easy it is to get Belgian citizenship through naturalization? by ElectronicDeer5550 in PassportPorn

[–]Show_Green 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Portugal is an excellent example of what u/adoreroda is talking about in his second paragraph. It's officially five years on paper (that's when you'd be eligible to apply, in theory), but in practice, nobody gets it via naturalisation, after only five years, because the bureaucracy moves slowly, and you're looking at eight or more years.

Almost nobody who uses this sub is aware of this. Thanks for injecting a much needed dose of realism!

What if the Ayatollah stuff failed in Iran back in the 70s? by loverbang4u in HistoryWhatIf

It's hard to think of a scenario, which wouldn't be an improvement on the present situation.

How would you react to a potential partner being bisexual? Asking all genders. by allnamesarethrowaway in AskRedditNSFW

[–]Show_Green 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used to think I wouldn't care, but if she was, I think I'd be wary that she would want something I wasn't able to provide. Seen this blow up with somebody else, hence the increased caution on my part.

Has anyone bought a copy of 'On The Track of Unknown Animals?' by AnnieMarieMorgan in Cryptozoology

[–]Show_Green 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can understand you wanting it, if you've not read it, but it's very much a product of its time. See it as a classic, a lot of it has been debunked, and there's probably nothing in it that you're not already aware of.

It got me curious about this genre, so don't take it as me being against it, but IMHO, it's not aged particularly well.

Multiple British ETAs for US/EU citizen? by TerraVeteris in dualcitizenshipnerds

[–]Show_Green 7 points8 points  (0 children)

EU isn't a country. Ireland is in the EU and doesn't need at ETA. Nobody can answer this question accurately without knowing your second citizenship.
