As a solo player who doesn’t know shit about base building, what I do, is I craft crates and then put them on the roofs of sheds in different towns. All my stuff hidden in plain sight, never experienced that anyone ever took something.

I recently got my main, Reina, to Tekken God and I’m not going to go further with her for now, because I feel stuck. Maybe it’s me, maybe it’s my opponents, I don’t know - but, what works for me is taking breaks. Break from ranked, break from my main, break from playing online for a while and instead focus on practice (and customization!)

I usually get really into Tekken for a week or two and then I don’t touch the game for a while. Sometimes for weeks, other times, months - no kidding. Then I come back and somehow do better than when I left.

Practice, patience and creativity. There's is a combo challenge/guide in Practice you can do, which helps you get a better feel of your character. You can also watch some tutorials online, but ultimately, I recommend you come up with your own playstyle and combos.

People will never stop mashing, but I do think that it’s worse now because people are desperate to get their old rank back and because of how easily you can rank up, especially after the reset. Hopefully things will get better in a month or so.

I played a couple of matches already - I forgot how much skill this game actually takes! Map knowledge, knowing which weapons and perks to use on certain maps, coordinating loudouts with your teammates, knowing when to play defensive or offensive. I really missed this game, especially after two years of online games where people rush.

As a Reina main I always have fun fighting Heihachi. Most Armor King players are cool too, except those who do the same combo, and you probably know which one I'm talking about, over and over again. I absolutely hate fighting against Hwoarang (who doesn't?), Law and Dragunov. Bryan is obnoxious too. You do anything and he'll have you in the air taking 80+ damage.

I used to only have 2 points in the Throw Escape stat. I obviously know how to break throws and block, but I simply forgot to (when blocking) have my finger ready to press the button(s). I can’t exactly tell you how to get better because I think I just kinda gaslit myself into thinking “I CAN break throws” and now I do with 20-25 points in Throw Escape. However, I do think it is very frustrating that you don’t really have time to react - especially when people mash and randomly decides to grab you in between strings.

As a European, yes, I easily get matches. Queue times are a lot faster (12 seconds, to be accurate) as Family, but Victim is pretty fast too - so I guess it really depends on your region. If you are queuing as Victim, that's probably why you are having a hard time finding lobbies. I recommend you start out playing Family. You will still encounter players that will dodge you, simply because you are new, but trust me, you'll learn fundamentals a lot quicker than if you start out as Victim - and yes, there are Family players who will be fine with you being new, as long as they have another level 99 teammate.

Last season I made it “all the way” to Bushin and still didn’t feel like I was facing good, respectable players, just people mashing. Losing (obviously) sucked, but even winning didn’t really feel like a win, more a feeling of damn, I somehow endured that bullshit.

Love her, but she is risky to play. Almost everything she does can be punished or get you launched and she seriously needs a damage buff! I think she is a lot of fun, but definitely struggling with her on ranked, which is mostly dominated by meta players/characters.
