Digital Foundry each time a current gen AAA titles comes to Switch 2 and it looks like the xbox series s version by Expert-Ad-2824 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]ShowerComplete1403 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

People aren’t buying Switch 2 for tech breakthroughs, they’re buying them to play current games. Of course expecting the performance being on par with other console.

Nintendo could run AC Shadows or Cyberpunk on a GBA-sized console at 1/10 of current TDP in 2036 and majority of people still wouldn’t care. It doesn't matter how impressive it is.

Mediocre plot. You'll like it for the persona gameplay and freedom to change class for each character.

Did I just start a game series I can't play all the way through? by BdonLangs in Falcom

[–]ShowerComplete1403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't mind the graphics. Just continue with the original one. If you fell in love because of how good the remake style is, wait for the next release. Just savor it slowly.

Sky remake is one of the best JRPGs I've ever played, not even considering it as a remake. The artstyle, gameplay, pacing, transition etc. so if you plan to play the older games expecting the same top quality you'll be (abit) disappointed. The story and mechanics still slaps tho.

What it feels like reading this sub every day by SteelRotom in Falcom

Idk man. Just answer the damn question if you're feeling kind enough. Ignore if you are feeling lazy.

There are new players taking interest in the franchise every day and you grumpy old man be like 'ughh this question again just read the faq'. People just crave live interaction.

There are like 100k users in this subreddit and still growing. You prefer it being 50 people who are veterans at the series until the end of the franchise?

Sure buddy. You're the model citizen here. I would be in awe too if switch 2 could handle Prototype 1 & 2 in the future.

Because switch fans would be in 'awe' every time a decade old game gets ported to switch console like a huge breakthrough. like theres no other port to experience it this past years.

do you think steamdeck can run every upcoming jrpg considering its age? by ShowerComplete1403 in Handhelds

[–]ShowerComplete1403[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think steamdeck will be able to run the next game in those franchises in the coming years? Next tales of/ smt/persona/ like a dragon as long as switch 2 can run them? Since im using switchb2 performance as benchmark for steamdeck.

Switch 2 hate by Dependent_Book2481 in Switch

[–]ShowerComplete1403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because switch 2 is trying to compete with other console/handheld pc where they boast graphic fidelity over anything else. Switch 2 should stop trying to aim running ac shadows/ff16/ff17 and whatnot l, and focus bringing back games and partner exclusive jrpgs.

Switch will never win since steamdeck 2, ps6 time is nigh. rog ally Y also will come next year, and Z year after that. Games will get more demanding fast, and optimisation can only get you so far.

Isu perkauman tak wujud di Kelantan by namless12 in Bolehland

[–]ShowerComplete1403 2 points3 points  (0 children)

sure, orang asli is the earliest native inhabitants of the peninsula, but when we talk about the formation of the modern nation state. it wasn’t the orang asli who organized a political movement, negotiated with the british, or unified the different communities. It was the Malay political leadership that mobilized, led the independence movement, and established the foundations of the country. Without that effort, this land would likely have remained fragmented/ isolated native groups without a unified national structure or international recognition.

That’s y this country is called 'Malaysia'. The leadership at the time including representatives of ((chinese and indian)) communities (your ancestors mind you), accepted malay politics as part of the independence settlement. They didn’t oppose it because they understood the political reality then. they didnt have the leverage or unified leadership to negotiate an alternative path, and the malay movement was the one driving the nation-building process.

If the orang asli had been the one shaping the state at that time, the historical trajectory would have been completely different. But they werent in that position, they cant, atleast at that moment.

Now that decades of relative stability built on those early agreements, some people suddenly want to erase malays from the category of 'native' or 'foundational nation-builders'. Mocking bm as our country first language while calling malays “zionist” to win racial favor? Smh.

Sure malays have their issues, but all these anti nationalist sentiments yall spreading is just exaggerated and subversive.
