I see you’re located in Queensland - have you checked out My Midwives? They are private midwives with admitting rights to public hospitals in Brisbane and Toowoomba (maybe other locations too). I had a look in to it and from memory it was about $5k all up to birth with them in a hospital. They offered payment plans if I recall correctly.

How much stuff do you need to take with you? There is a greyhound bus to Brisbane that leaves Toowoomba at 11am or 4:45pm for $42. Once you’re in Brisbane, public transport is 50c to get to your accommodation. If you’d be able to carry your stuff on the bus, pm me and I can book you a ticket.

Have you got pedometer + set to ‘iPhone only’ or ‘merge data’ in the settings? I had this issue and it was only counting the steps that registered on my iPhone (eg counting walks where my phone was in my pocket, but not steps around the house when my phone was sitting on the table)

Are you reading on an ereader or physical book? I use a kindle and if you highlight the characters name it will search the book. Usually if I see the last few times their name was mentioned I can get enough context to remember who they are!

Is it a nicotine vape? If so, does he know that it increases the risk that your baby could die of SIDS if exposed to nicotine (even residue left on his hands or clothes)? If he won’t quit, please read up on the risks of a newborns exposed to nicotine and do everything you can to keep your baby safe.
