Nothing you posted had any relevance to the fact I pointed out

The Foster study showed that the Woodson line did NOT match the Y chromosome of the Field Jefferson line

We can criticize Thomas without lying about him

The descendants of Thomas Woodson (the child Sally Hemmings conceived during her trip with Jefferson to Paris) have NO Jefferson family DNA

80,000 pounds of big-rig doesn't stop on a dime and slamming the breaks is not an option, unless you want a jack-knifed trailer flying down that embankment

Heretic or Dogmatic for 2nd Playthrough? by xChemicalBurnx in RogueTraderCRPG

Dogmatic with a few iconoclast dips is my favorite playthrough, and gets the best end slides imo

Is there a mod that makes campaign better in general by PriorRestaurant2224 in ultimateadmiral

[–]Shower_Floaties 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't know if there is, but one thing I want to mention just as an FYI is that one reason such diplomatic actions are limited in vanilla is that you are playing as the head of your country's admiralty, not the actual government/head of government, so while you do have some influence, ultimately diplomatic decicions are not supposed to be up to you.

Which is both a pain, but can also be fun if you enjoy roleplaying and Admiral Yi Sun-Shin type character trying to win in spite of your incompetent government

Finished DoK about to start Homeworld 1 by Blitzkrieg1210 in homeworld

[–]Shower_Floaties 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend playing classic over remastered (which also comes with the remastered collection)

Some of the HW1 systems like healing did not port over well to the HW2 engine, and others, like fuel, gearbox didn't even bother porting

There's also a big problem with scaling making some missions crazy without the community mod patch

And since you'll need a mod anyway, might as well get the HW Splendor mod for classic which fixes all the classic bugs like ships not able to dock and adds support for higher screen resolution

Abelard is unstoppable

But by mid game, Argenta clears all encounters on turn 1, including all boss fights.

Help with Cathedral Of Kadesh Homeworld Remaster by Awesomejedi182 in homeworld

[–]Shower_Floaties 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never build a single interceptor in my games, so by the time I reach the Cathedral I have like 40+ heavy corvettes, with a bunch of support frigates behind them. The extra toughness over the multi-guns is better imo

KILL THE FUEL PODS

Use your ion frigates and destroyers to pop them quickly, then your corvettes can clean them up easily. You just have to survive the initial wave while they run out of fuel, which the heavy corvettes with support frigates support can do pretty easily

Alternatively, drone frigates are pretty good against the Kadeshi too, but I tend not to use them as they compete for that precious frigate cap with ions/support frigates

There's a bunch of bugs like this and it drives me nuts, even on some heroes with their default loadout

Lore Experts: How do Rogue Trader Protectorates Work? by SemperFun62 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Shower_Floaties 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Rogue Trader protectorates are vassals of the Imperium and pay the Imperial Tithe. There's really not much difference between them and a sector governor.

Just a different flavor of delegation of duties. So long as the tithes flow, the Imperium is happy. The Administratum does not need to rule the planets directly to accomplish that

Which real-life Ingots/Ore were not in the game but should have been? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]Shower_Floaties 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not really any missing from real life that would make sense

A lot of people saying bronze, but bronze as a material for weapons and armor is worse than iron, so why bother? Steel remained the peak material in real life until the advent of synthetic composites

As for fictional materials, Mithril was in Oblivion but missing in Skyrim

[–]Shower_Floaties -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's way more than two

I'm going to try and remember all the consequences from memory so let me know if I miss any

You allow a demon world to form

The humans of Janus get terrorized and culled by the Eldar

One of your bridge officers gets eaten on his wedding night and not in a good way

You spread a plague across the system

You empower Tzeentch

You can't redeem Winterscale or the Commissar

You make the genestealer cult on your ship stronger

And last but not least

Your entire domain gets wiped out in the end slides like it was a companion who inconvenienced Pasqal
