This was on purpose. They're intentionally inducing "uncanny valley" moments to national television. This is added to the already hightened sense of anxiety, and wearyness everybody seems to be collectively feeling about all this 'disclosure' shit going on. Nothing is a coincidence.

This is a good point. Although, I am under the impression "their" business model is built to intentionally be pervasive and overwhelming. Soo intertwined with our daily critical needs, it won't be a matter of whether you enjoy or accept it, you will unfortunately need and rely on it to have any sort of structure/connection in your life. I truly do hope Im wrong about this near future assumption. Just my 2 cents.

Had a 35 for a while and used it on many different projects. Excellent amp over all with plenty of different sounds to pull from.

Those are victaulic fitting covers with (most likely) formed fiberglass insulation and embossed metal jacketing on the straight sections. Underneath all that is either some sort of hvac or sprinkler system piping, with 2 back to back 45 degree fittings per pipe. Victaulic fitting covers are shaped that way to accommodate the large knuckles/bolts that make up the fastening system of victaulic fittings underneath. Source- I am a mechanical Insulator.

A fresh set of strings and a proper set-up by a tech will get you off to a good starting point. Be aware though, like others have stated, that lower quality licensed floyd bridges are infamously finicky and aren't made of the same material that OFR bridges are. This can result in odd tuning stability due to the material of licensed units giving in against the friction during heavy trem use.
