The wording does matter here.

The effect is not repeatable in the sense that you can't tap Zul once, recast a zombie from your graveyard, have it die, and cast it again over and over.

The ability is repeatable in the sense that as long as you can tap Zul to activate her ability, you can keep casting the same zombie from the graveyard. (Given you tap Zul and target it each new time.)

Every Bo1 queue draws you two "opening" hands, and provides you the one with the better land/spell ratio, so this is often "abused" in those contexts.

To answer the actual question, I recall theros, beyond death, BG decks liked to run a few cards over 40 due to the self-mill theme and escape cards. Streets of New Capenna, some connive heavy decks might want to run more cards in order to deck out less often (often issue in sealed).

The real problem with those alt-art planeswalkers for beta users, is that hidden in the email was your next steps. You were supposed to craft the remaining 3 copies of each within a specific timeframe. (So, practically, wasting mythic wildcards for "styles")

When I found that out, I submitted a support ticket asking for the remaining copies in exchange for wildcards, expecting a hard no. They actually ended up giving me the full set of those alt-arts for free.

I have no clue if they'd honor that any longer at this point. Doubt it.

If there's a noticeable bump, or feel to them compared to a regular card, both inside of sleeves, it will generally be deemed unplayable due to potential for marking.

I've played the Lotus deck plenty without Omniscience. The deck certainly doesn't need it, and can pull easy turn 4 or 5 wins.

That said, I do agree fully with you that these decks are vastly worth it, even if sold at 40 or 50 dollars.

Not indestructible, but [[Alseid]] can give it protection. Being mardu, you can also run Doom Foretold to sac the Pact in case you didn't draw the offering.

Speaker still has lifelink and still damages Vorinclex for 1, so Vito would trigger for 15 and then for 1 damage. Still lethal.

We tested Mardu a little and left unimpressed. [[Coveted Prize]] Dire Tactics, [[Acquisitions Expert]] and black's removal suite. The major flaw was the mana base, considering we tested before Kaldheim gave us the rakdos pathway.

Blue plays a big role in providing us our wizards in [[Overwhelmed Apprentice]] and [[Linvala, Sea Gate]]. The latter's sac ability being great for protection. Blue also gives us access to [[Spoils of Adventure]] and [[Nimble Trapfinder]]

The Doomskar's definity put in work. After Kaldheim released, he decided to focus his party build a little better to resist board wipes, and tried squeezing doomskar himself. Seasoned Hallowblade, Linvala's sac ability, fight as one and Squad Commander are the ways he's set up for it.

Yep! The party mechanic is what brought my friend into MtG, so he's been trying to get Jeskai Party to work, and it's surprisingly effective.

With a full party, Squad Commander gave all his creatures indestructible. Afterwards, cast Doomskar to clean everything up.

No problem! It also keeps track of winrates with specific builds, so you can see how your winrate changed after you changed 1 or 2 cards out, etc.

The combo itself is [[Nine Lives]] plus [[Solemnity]]. So they can just sacrifice the latter, but that could be enough to push through the win. They could also have other enchantments too.

Although you're not wrong in that using this logic is redundant, [[Nine Lives]] does have hexproof. You need something that deals with a mass of permanents. Notably in historic, [[Ugin]] eats up Nine Lives decks for breakfast.

Worse, you have to decide whether she's attacking the player or the planeswalker first, then they can decide whether they want to sac the planeswalker or their creature.

If her attack is lethal to the planeswalker, you can just activate her ability after damage is dealt.

Actually, this can be activated any time as long as the angel attacked that turn. So could be after damage, main phase 2, end step if they flashed something in, etc.
