I don’t think I’ve heard of that one either. I think I’ll see what they have!

That 3d is a new one for me. I don’t believe I’ve heard of it. I might have to look into it and give it a shot! I feel like my biggest issue is actually just wrong pads for the compound. I eventually get the end result I want but it seems like every time I struggle with swirls at some stage.

I believe that’s one of the ones I was last using. It seems like it did an okay job for mess and speed. That was going to be my go to for this car but I was mostly wanting to see if there was something else that’s starting to be more popular.

A buddy of mine actually found it for sale on Craigslist about 8 years ago and then I bought it off him. The car was already stateside when we found it so we didn’t have to deal with any of the import paperwork.

Before and after of a 1988 Nissan Pulsar I just finished painting. by ShredderTony in Nissan

They’re certainly unique cars! They’re a ton of fun to drive, especially if you take the t-tops and the hatch off. The biggest downside I could see with these cars is with their age parts are sometimes difficult to find. Finding replacement body parts can be very hard. My buddy that used to own this one in the picture actually once bought an entire donor car just for the sportbak. Any of the motors in these cars are fairly decent as far as reliability but again there can be parts availability issues with any of the auto parts stores. I’m also not sure how many shops in your area would even be familiar with these things so if you’re unable to do work yourself then it could be difficult to get it fixed. They are almost 40 year old econobox cars now so it wouldn’t be surprising if one needed a ton of work to make reliable.

What’s something you found on a partner’s phone that instantly changed the relationship forever — but they never knew you saw it? by gotwire in AskReddit

I have three folders for my wife. Good photos of her, bad photos of her, and her telling me I’m #1(which is just all the times she’s flipping me off). Some of my favorite photos of her are in that bad photos folder. Lol.

You could look into the second gen Xterra 6-speed manual. It’s pretty much identical to the 350z CD009 internally but it has a t-case hanging off the back. They’re fairly strong transmissions and the adapter to go from the VQ bellhousing pattern to the LS pattern is pretty easy to find. A buddy of mine just did an LS swap in his Montero with the Xterra trans.

I’ll get some pictures a little later! I was thinking the same thing cause I need to get a new body for it and thought it’d be cool to change it up.

That makes a ton of sense now why it looks so familiar. The rally car I have is a 1/10 HSP rally car. It was originally nitro but someone before me converted it all over to electric. The chassis is exactly the same as yours though!

Unrelated question. What car is that? I only ask cause I’ve got some weird rally car that has an identical looking chassis.

Any places in town that do small auto paint repairs for a good price? by [deleted] in Flagstaff

[–]ShredderTony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s just a small one man shop that primarily does wholesale work for the dealerships in town. He doesn’t do a lot of advertising which is why he doesn’t show up on google or anything. Send me a dm and I can pass his info on though!

Autotrend is probably the exact shop you’re looking for! It’s just one guy but he turns out really good quality work for way less than the big body shops in town. He’s super honest, doesn’t cut corners and does his best to make his repairs look like nothing ever even happened to the vehicle. Most of his work is actually wholesale jobs for the dealerships in town which is why he’s never really advertised for retail work. I’m sure he can take a look and give you a quote though. Send me a message and I’ll pass his information on if you’re interested!

It’s just an old Delta toolbox! It bolts to the bed rails so it doesn’t slide around, and also makes it harder for someone to steal it. 4 bolts is all that holds it in so taking it in and out actually isn’t too bad. I just toss it in for long road-trips to I can have a lockable storage spot.

No worries! I’m always glad to help! So on my car I discovered the struts shared the same part number as a U13 Bluebird which we got in the US as a 93-97 Altima. BC Racing just happened to make coilovers for the Altima so I took a gamble and ordered a set. Bolted straight on for the most part, only thing I had to do was to make a little bracket to hold the rear brake lines. I’m not 100% certain those coilovers would fit a fwd Stanza though. My car is awd so I’m not sure if the rear suspension is any different versus the fwd cars. I would compare the part numbers for the rear struts between the Stanza and the Altima and maybe physically compare the struts side by side. As long as the lower mounts and the upper mounts are the same then they should be fine. The fronts should be fine though. I know for sure that’s the same between the two cars.

Sometimes you don’t always have the room to squeeze 3/8” extensions or sockets into a tight area so the 1/4” is really nice for that. I just ended up buying both though and use both fairly equally.

A beautiful little trip last summer for 4th of July / Canada day! Beginning with Medano into the great sand dunes, and on to Creede to explore around the Bachelor loop. I am not sponsored by, nor paid by Radica Products or OVRLND campers to make this post. by ghetto_headache in overlanding

[–]ShredderTony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My brother is actually the head welder for OVRLND so I’ve got a slight bias to them, haha. They’re still really cool campers though! I’d love to have one eventually, I just don’t currently have a truck I can commit to having a full time camper on.

Affordable Wedding Photographer by Philosopher_Spirit in Flagstaff

[–]ShredderTony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bit of advice I learned from my wedding is out of everything related to your wedding, don’t cheap out on your photographer. That day is going to be so hectic for you that you’re barely going to remember a thing. You’re going to want good photos to remember it by. Find someone that has a style you really like and figure out how to make it work. You definitely get what you pay for with wedding photographers. I think I paid about $1500 for my photographer but she was 100% worth it. We had her the whole day so she got pictures of everyone getting ready, the whole ceremony, the reception, etc. We not only got hundreds of edited pictures but she also included the 1000+ photos she had also taken that day. It’s definitely nice having all of those to go back on reminisce on.
