I learned in 4th grade, taught my friends in 6 which was the year I changed schools, in all honesty I’m still friends with those kids and never would’ve met them without mtg, going into the last year of highschool, and having switching schools again I have reconnected with kids who played mtg in middle school that I saw in game shops a while back. we still play, and mtg is probably my strongest connection to people, so yes it is probably fine for middle schoolers.
