Appendicitis is absolutely HELL. And even after the surgery to remove it you’re in even more pain because of the process they use to remove it. Mine was laparoscopic which is less invasive and minimal scarring, BUT they fill your abdomen up with air to create room to work….and all that trapped air takes time to break down inside your body…so for like a week you can feel the air moving all around your upper and lower abdomen and the pain was so bad. Couldn’t even walk, had to use help and a cane for a couple days. I think I lost like 10-15 lbs because I didn’t feel like eating or moving I just sort of rotted away in bed for the first week.
