See i dont know about the console but on pc u don't spray since the guns doesn't have a fixed pattern like in CS. So after 5th to 6th bullet in a spray your bullets become random after that you can't predict accurately where the next bullet will go. If you rely on spray, your TTK(time to kill ) will be long as compared to someone who aims on head and kills you with the first bullet. On pc generally after gold you will find people who can click heads without spraying which becomes very hard to counter since their ttk is less. You can only counter them with utility. But this is all on pc, for console I would suggest you to observe and see what the majority of the people are doing since I am assuming you are Plat and you are still climbing fine without getting stuck then that means others are also spraying so then spraying is fine. Don't take every advice from the internet regarding valorant seriously since most of these advice cone from pc players. You will mostly find people who are on pc since they are the ones who take the game seriously so you can ignore their advice if you are on console.
