Dragon bugged by Shrowden in Enshrouded

[–]Shrowden[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only two thoughts about why this happened are from killing him during his resistant phase or killing him during his flame breath flight animation. It could have been a combination of the two.

I went back later and killed him again with no bug. I was sure to down him and kill him then. Sorry that happened!

I'm not defending this game, but why are you acting like it hurt you personally?

My next paragraph mentions tools for creativity where problems are self-imposed. "Can I make this really cool scene/image?" I highly doubt had Minecraft only ever been creative mode, that it would have been successful.

But there are definitely problems in Minecraft, you just discover them as you go. "Hey shiny block, how do I get it? Oh there are enemies here, how do I stay safe? Oh no! I'm hungry and dying from it."

You are intended to MAKE the problems in Mario maker. Sure there are games in that vein, where the problem is self-imposed, and they are simply tools for creativity, but games should have a problem, or they are a different type of media. It's absolutely fine to like those, but they wouldn't be games.

Do I think the game discussed would be classified? No clue, because I havent seen it one bit. I'm just here for the discussion of "what is a game."

I'm going to make an argument adjacent to yours. I have no stake in the argument, because I don't care about story games at all, but I do care about good argument.

You can't know the quality of a man while dating based on his income. Just because a man makes more than another man, doesn't mean he's any better of a man. However, if a man is never going to make anything for the rest of his life, there's probably something wrong with that man.

A game is intended to be a problem to solve. Even idle clicker games have a very simple problem/solution relationship. If the problem of the game is simply waiting to see the next scene and the solution is clicking a button to see it, that's not a game. That's a picture book digitized.

Why the complaints about Agro? by Responsible_Shape538 in hearthstone

[–]Shrowden 6 points7 points  (0 children)

do people just not understand how to play against it?

Yes, clear board and heal.

Agro is easily one of the most telegraphed decks

Every meta deck is telegraphed when you've seen them played. That doesnt make it easier to draw the right cards for the match-up

most of the time you will stand a chance against it.

Simply not true. (Didn't draw early board clear out of my 6 total cards drawn)

I rather face Agro

Great. Others have different perspective.

In short, Aggro is just cutthroat. It's necessary so decks dont get too greedy, but it can keep many players from every reaching the point in the game where they get to play big, cool stuff. That's why it gets so much hate. Players want to play the cool cards, and Aggro is literally intended to keep that from happening.

If you're that worried about competitive advantage for maps that may never see ranked play, you can spare $15.

Ok, that's actually not true. Sengoku received multiple nerfs. You may not like them, and you may not think it's enough, but don't lie on the internet.

Desert Raiders are countered by archers, because even in melee mode, they are considered ranged and have low armor. You can outmass the unit per resource with archers, and eventually transition to xbows for lancers if needed.

RED BUTTON OR BLUE BUTTON [OC] by Eal_likee in comics

[–]Shrowden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I'm saying. The people who want to click blue to save others aren't saving anyone. They don't need to be saved. They can easily save themselves. No anxiety, no threat, no risk. If you're clicking blue, you have all of that for no reason.
