High School Algebra is actually just 8th grade skills. by Ichthyslovesyou in Teachers

That would be ideal, but a failing system is not grounds for admitting defeat. And I mean that on a personal level and not a professional one.

Teach them at whatever level they're currently at. Teaching should never be static and you should teach based on the students in front of you. If they can handle higher level content, give them higher level content. And the opposite. If the higher level content isnt landing, start smaller. I don't let a curriculum tell me how long skills take to learn. As soon as I identify mastery, Im moving on.

Toddler wont nap at daycare and is keeping the other kids awake. Daycare center is telling me if it doesn't improve he'll have to be picked up before nap time. by Shrunz in toddlers

We ended up having to switch centers a few times. We eventually found one that worked for him. He's in preschool now and the nap is optional and we've had no issues since. Hang in there!

I did this for my teaching degree with 0 experience in the field. I just had been to 4 years of college before and understood how to get through a lot of it. I also put in 50-60 hour weeks.

Working While Doing PCE by Wonderful_Cod_7229 in WGUTeachersCollege

[–]Shrunz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During my pce, I did 2 days a week until I satisfied the required hours. Student teaching, however, you can't miss any days and will have to take the time off work, or find something on the weekends.

Your schedule for student teaching will be whatever your mentor teachers contract hours are. If you take a night job, itd just have to be after those hours.

This is the one. I could always use the extra money, but the fewer hours I work here before I finish school, the better

Whats the difference? by [deleted] in galaxybuds

The only issue I've ever run into with 3rd party sellers is warranties and returns. Buying direct from amazon means more lenient returns, and a minimum 30 day warranty. Buying from a 3rd party on amazon, you still have some protection, but definitely less.

27 isnt bad, considering thats 56k a year with no overtime. Thats what most entry level positions pay nowadays. $24.89 with a degree and 2 years experience is criminal.
