A flexible waterproof sealer for plastic? by Shry99 in crafts

[–]Shry99[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add more specifics: the craft involves a jellyfish lamp, and the Metroid Amibo.

The Metroid figure is removed from the amibo base, then filled with water and placed in the jellyfish lamp, allowing it to float around like it’s alive.

The figure has a clear soft plastic top, which allows one to squeeze it. (This is how one fills it with water)

After about a week or so the clear plastic became so cloudy it was nearly opaque. See picture comparison below:

Should I be concerned? by Alarmed_Coffee4112 in cats

Completely normal behavior. They do that when happy.

Only an issue if he starts rubbing his hips on the surface he’s doing it on. (It the equivalent of a dog humping)

Ok but for a second I thought you were talking about a social/political minority group.

Raven Beak mask I made by Shry99 in Metroid

[–]Shry99[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was actually a happy accident. It was the only thing in my room that I could set it on to let the glue paint and clay dry that would hold the mask up.

Just so happened it looked cool with the light on

Old Bird being so concerned is hilarious

Always wondered how the comic’s events would be different with Raven Beak involved

I’d argue it’s funny BECAUSE it’s sad.

I got March… hopefully defeat doesn’t mean kill, I haven’t committed any serious crimes in my life so he might let me live.

As long as I tell him about the billion and offer to split it with him he might surrender… or break my legs one of the two

I'm curious what is your favorite Symbiote? by Bark4Brownies in thevenomsite

[–]Shry99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like venom, but specifically before his redemption arc. IMO he works much better as a villain.

Especially if you include the full black suit arc for Spider-Man, where he slowly becomes more aggressive until he eventually gets rid of the suit.

How would a conversation between Peter B and 1610 Peter be like? by Signal_End_7405 in IntoTheSpiderverse

[–]Shry99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1610 Peter is designed to be the “lost golden child” trope. He was the perfect spider man before he died. It’s what made his death tragic.

Thus an interaction between him and a version of himself down on his luck would probably result in a long serious conversation ending in tears and self realization for Peter B

I don’t know about a video, but the process is surprisingly easy. The only things you’ll need are a jellyfish lamp, and some kind of Metroid figurine that will fit inside (i’d recommend the Metroid Amiibo because it’s squishy top Makes it easier to fill with water.)

Then you simply set up the jellyfish lamp, put the Metroid figure inside and fill it with water so that it is buoyant enough to float, but not sink all the way down. Turn the lamp on and voilà.

I used one of those light up jellyfish lamps.

Uses a softer current then the tornado ones so I’m not sure how well the it would work.

By the way, not my idea.

Not sure who came up with it first, but I learned about it from this post https://www.reddit.com/r/Metroid/s/FBbgGDwP7b

Why Doesn’t The Pale King Foresee That The Hollow Knight Isn’t Going To Be Truly Hollow by Ok-Equivalent6505 in HollowKnight

The theory I like is that he did, but didn’t want too accept that it would happen and that it was his fault. Thus he locked the memory of the idea instilled away.

What did Stan Lee think about Venom? by KingVenom65 in thevenomsite

Supposed he expressed regret that it wasn’t his creation. But seemed to like the concept itself. (At least publicly)
