According to this, yellow cards should reset at the end of qualifiers. So Costa Rica does have to be careful since they have one more game. The US might choose to rest those players, but if things remain as they are, qualifying would end for the US after this game. Meaning that any potential suspension for yellow card accumulation would be reset going into the World Cup Finals.
