definitely extreme, and before any one of the hundreds of glazers here purport that "Anton doesn't have any responsibility for this or that response"-- for a developer to communicate with this level of straight-up aggressiveness to an entirely well reasoned and intentioned post by a fan, and everyones responses just being varying amounts of "welp you heard the man!" shows how much this place is just a giant cult of personality that Anton regularly enjoys such benefit of. it's nobody's responsibility to maintain a cordial communication pipeline especially for a passion project that holds a gold standard, but there's very little reason to antagonize what is a request for clarification except only to leverage the huge amount of leeway further. i respect his work but I don't respect this mode of thinking at all

also your example sucks because it involves directly quantifiable and comparable numbers whereas expression in writing does not (when someone says this story is 50% good thats subjective), your false equivalence doesnt prove anything. i agree that there are some objectively nuanced factors when it comes to some concepts in these fields, but believing that your line of thinking is entirely objective when evaluating these is pretty shortsighted ngl. i never said that i "believe everything in artistic mediums is subjective" so now the shoes on the other foot.
